  • Patent number: 9581367
Abstract: Heat exchanger systems described and illustrated here in include multiple stacked plates each defining an aperture, first and second flow ducts formed by the stacked plates, multiple inflow and outflow ducts formed by the apertures in the stacked plates, a first heat exchanger section defining a condenser including first and second flow ducts, a second heat exchanger section defining an evaporator, first, second and third fluids, and an expansion element for the first fluid connected to the heat exchanger. In some embodiments, the first fluid is in heat-exchanging contact with the second fluid in one of the first and second heat exchanger sections, the first fluid is in heat-exchanging contact with the third fluid in the other of the first and second heat exchanger sections, and/or the first fluid flows through the first flow duct in the first heat exchanger section.

  • Publication number: 20070035128
Abstract: A fluid coupling is provided that includes a first coupling member including a body portion having a radially outwardly extending polygonal-shaped protrusion. A second coupling member includes a first stage adapted to connect the first coupling member to the second coupling member, a second stage adapted to open the second coupling member for fluid flow therethrough, and an inwardly facing polygonal-shaped cavity sized to receive the polygonal-shaped protrusion on the first coupling member when the first and second members are connected to inhibit relative rotation between the first and second coupling members.

  • Patent number: 6662859
Abstract: A cooler for an electrical component, including a pressure-tight vessel enclosing the electrical component and including a support plate above the electrical component, a bath of electrically insulating and evaporating liquid surrounding the electrical component within the vessel, a flow channel for cooling liquid on the support plate, and a heat exchange element. The heat exchange element includes a serpentine plate having generally horizontally extending and aligned flanks alternately connected along horizontally extending upper and lower edges, with the lower edges being connected by connectors spaced along the horizontally extending edges and the upper edges being connected by horizontally extending crests secured to the flow channel for heat conduction therebetween. The flow channel may define a U-shaped path with two channel legs connected at one end, with a cooling liquid inlet connected to one of the channel legs and a cooling liquid outlet connected to the other of the channel legs.
