  • Publication number: 20240145940
Abstract: A wide beamwidth antenna formed as a combination of multiple independent antenna subsystems into a compact assembly. Antenna subsystems are selected of types to have minimal mutual coupling. A primary antenna, typically for the higher frequency bands (i.e 5-6 GHz) is preferably a of a horn-type antenna, secondary antennas (i.e. 2.4 GHz) are typically of a flat (planar) and/or compact type (i.e. electrically short) such as monopole, dipole, loop, patch, slot or other suitable compact and/or flat antennas (i.e. inverted F—PIFA, MIFA, fractal antenna etc.). Both primary and secondary antennas coexist on one shared mechanical body and RF feeders of both primary and secondary antennas are integrated on a single shared PCB, also carrying the RF application circuitry.

  • Publication number: 20220376374
Abstract: A coupling assembly is provided. More specifically, the coupling assembly is configured to form a quick, preferably mechanical and electromagnetic, connection between two devices such as a radio and antenna. The coupling assembly has interchangeable portions can be easily adjusted or adapted to swap parts such as waveguides having different sizes and dimensions while maintaining a standard connection portion that can be used with the different sized and shaped parts, thereby reducing manufacturing costs and increasing the efficiency of field installations.

  • Publication number: 20200382213
Abstract: A modular electromagnetic antenna assembly configured for securement to a structure is provided. The assembly includes an antenna, a radio, and a base. The base has a bracket securable to the structure and the base has at least one feed. The radio and base together form a waveguide that transmits radio waves between the radio and the antenna. The radio is removably secured to the base so as to form a removable mechanical connection to the base and a removable communication connection with the at least one feed through the base.

  • Publication number: 20200144696
Abstract: A coupling assembly for a first device having a bayonet is provided. The coupling assembly includes a top plate, a bottom plate, and first fasteners securing the top and bottom plates to one another. The top plate having a slot along a connection axis, where the slot receives the bayonet. The bottom plate has a locking arm in axial alignment with the slot and a biasing arm in a region that is radially offset from the locking arm. The region of the bottom plate receives the bayonet, when in a locked position, with the locking arm preventing the bayonet, by interference with locking arm, from rotating about the connection axis back into alignment with the slot and with the biasing arm preventing the bayonet, by interference with biasing arm, from being withdrawn axially along the connection axis.

  • Publication number: 20180233800
Abstract: An improved antenna ball joint mount is provided that includes a hollow socket mechanically coupled to a spherical member with a locking part. The hollow socket and the spherical member are fully detachable to simplify the installation of an antenna. A user is able to set a position of the antenna to any point on a spherical sector surface within a range of motion allowed by a shape of joint components and rotate the antenna around own axis to adjust a polarization plane and then lock the mount in a predetermined position.
