  • Publication number: 20070092352
Abstract: A tamper resistant nut includes a threaded base for engaging a male threaded fastener and a wrenchable body separable from the base. The base has no readily engagable surfaces accommodating standard tools.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20070092354
Abstract: A threaded fastener such as a weld nut or a weld stud has a projection from a surface thereof, with the projection bearing a thread. A weld ring substantially surrounds the threaded projection. In a fastener system using the fastener, a mounting structure has a keyhole including a larger diameter hole and a narrower diameter slot. In the assembly, a portion of the weld ring projects into the slot to resist rotation of the fastener relative to the mounting structure.

  • Publication number: 20060228194
Abstract: A vehicle body mount assembly includes a tube with a first washer axially fixed on the tube at a first end of the tube and a second washer axially fixed on the tube at a second end of the tube. A nut is affixed to the second washer at the second end of the tube.

  • Publication number: 20060181139
Abstract: A wheel nut and nut cap assembly includes a wheel nut having an outer end with an undercut, and a cap having an inner end received in the undercut. When installed, the inner end of the cap is constrained between the undercut of the wheel nut and a wheel stud extending into the cap.

  • Publication number: 20060028019
Abstract: A connector bolt for securing an oil cooler to an engine block is made of first and second telescopic pieces. The bolt can be made in different lengths by adjusting the telescopic position of the first and second pieces. The length is fixed by securing the relative positions of the first and second pieces.

  • Publication number: 20050285388
Abstract: A pipe nipple has a bore therethrough, with an entrance chamber at one end of the bore having a larger diameter adjacent a drive configuration of narrower diameter for receiving a tool therein to rotate the nipple about its longitudinal axis. The exterior of the nipple has a surface formation as a stop against which a hose can be inserted over the nipple, and a threaded length for attaching the nipple to another device.

  • Patent number: 4759672
Abstract: A fastener head, preferably a capped fastener head, including a sloping flange surrounding a central wrenching portion, having wrenching surfaces, such as axial hexagonal surfaces.A rib disposed on the sloping flange provides stability to a fastener head having such a rib by increasing the overturning moment required to buckle a column comprised of a fastener and driver. The rib is continuous around the flange and is as high as the bottom of the wrenching surfaces to reduce wobble during driving of the fastener head.
