Publication number: 20190275653Abstract: A setting tool for an expansion anchor, which has an expansion sleeve and an expansion element disposed in the expansion sleeve, includes an internal drive shaft for axially driving forward the expansion element in the expansion sleeve and an external drive shaft surrounding the internal drive shaft for rotational driving and axially driving forward the expansion sleeve into a substrate. The internal drive shaft has an insertion end in a rear area for inserting into a hammer drill. The external drive shaft is disposed in a torque-free manner and is slidable axially on the internal drive shaft. The setting tool further includes a releasable locking device, where an axial sliding of the internal drive shaft relative to the external drive shaft is limitable by the releasable locking device in a forward direction for transferring forward directed axial forces from the internal drive shaft to the external drive shaft.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 7, 2017Publication date: September 12, 2019Applicant: Hilti AktiengesellschaftInventors: Huu Toan NGUYEN, Martin NOSER

Patent number: 5836405Abstract: Fastening apparatus is formed of a drilling tool (3) for drilling an axially extending borehole in a receiving material. The drilling tool (3) has a cutting member (4) at its leading end and its trailing end (5) is arranged to be inserted into a chuck in a hand held drilling device capable of rotating the drilling tool and providing axially directed hammer-like blows. A tubular fastening element (2) has a bore extending between its leading and trailing ends and is arranged to be anchored in the borehole formed by the drilling tool. The diameter of the bore in the fastening element is greater than the outside diameter of a cutting circle formed by the cutting member (4) of the drilling tool (3). The drilling tool (3) extends axially through the bore in the fastening element so that its cutting member projects from one end of the fastening element and its trailing end extends outwardly from the trailing end of the fastening element.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 1997Date of Patent: November 17, 1998Assignee: Hilti AktiengesellschaftInventors: Hans Gschwend, Martin Noser

Patent number: 5829147Abstract: Apparatus (1) for applying marks to surfaces, such as walls and ceilings, particularly for use in home and building construction, includes a photoelectric detector device (21-25) for detecting bundled light signals from a light source, such as a laser, arranged at a distance from the surface to be marked. A signal-generating positioning aid (27-28) cooperates with the detector arrangement (21-25) for enabling a user of the apparatus to position it on the surface based on the detected light signals. In addition, the apparatus includes a marking device for applying a mark to the surface when the apparatus is correctly positioned.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 1997Date of Patent: November 3, 1998Assignee: Hilti AktiengesellschaftInventors: Heinz Kousek, Hans Gschwend, Martin Noser

Patent number: 5746510Abstract: A mixing device for mixing free flowing masses in a container includes: a rotating carrier defining a mixing side, a balancing side disposed opposite the mixing side, and a direction of rotation about the rotational axis of the mixing device; a container carrier for carrying the container, the container carrier being disposed on the mixing side of the rotating carrier and further being adapted to rotate counter to the direction of rotation of the rotating carrier; a housing defining a housing center of gravity and being effective as an active balancing weight for the container carrier for balancing moments on the mixing side and on the balancing side; and a counterweight defining a counterweight center of gravity and disposed on the rotating carrier, the counterweight further having a weight matching a tare weight of the housing. The housing and the counterweight are displaceable radially with respect to the rotational axis of the mixing device on the balancing side of the rotating carrier.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 1997Date of Patent: May 5, 1998Assignee: Friedhelm SchneiderInventors: Fritz Mark, Martin Noser

Patent number: 4930585Abstract: A device for drilling an undercut (1b) in a borehole (1a) in a target material 1, includes an axially extending guide sleeve (13) containing an axially extending eccentric bore, an eccentric bushing (14) is supported rotatably in the guide sleeve and a drive shaft (15) is supported rotatably in the eccentric bushing. A housing (10, 12) laterally encloses the guide sleeve and bears against the surface of the target material. A blocking member (25) is positioned between the housing (10, 12) and the guide sleeve (13) for permitting rotation of the guide sleeve in only one rotational direction relative to the housing (10, 12). Due to the blocking member (25) entrainment of the guide sleeve (13) is prevented when the eccentric bushing is rotated in the direction opposite to the one rotational direction.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 1989Date of Patent: June 5, 1990Assignee: Hilti AktiengesellschaftInventors: Martin Noser, Fritz Mark
