  • Patent number: 9822436
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the production and removal of a temporary protective layer for a cathodic coating, particularly for the production of a hardened steel component with an easily paintable surface, wherein a steel sheet made of a hardenable steel alloy is subjected to a preoxidation, wherein said preoxidation forms a FeO layer with a thickness of 100 nm to 1,000 nm and subsequently a melt dip coating is conducted, wherein, during the melt dip coating, a zinc layer is applied having a thickness of 5 to 20 ?m, preferably 7 to 14 ?m, on each side, wherein the melt dip process and the aluminum content of the zinc bath is adjusted such that, during the melt dip coating, an aluminum content for the barrier layer results of 0.15 g/m2 to 0.

  • Patent number: 9669611
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for connecting sheet metal parts (4) to form a laminated core (11), wherein sheet metal parts (4) are separated, in particular punched, from a sheet metal strip (2) that has, at least in some areas, a layer having curable polymer adhesive (12), and the sheet metal parts (4) are preliminarily connected to form a laminated core (11), the preliminary connection comprising plasticizing the adhesive (12) at least in some areas and joining the sheet metal parts (4) in order to connect the sheet metal parts by means of the plasticized adhesive (12) of at least one of the sheet metal parts (4), and in a subsequent step the laminated core (11) having preliminarily connected sheet metal parts (4) is subjected to a curing of the adhesive (12). In order to create an advantageous connection between the sheet metal parts, the plasticizing of the adhesive (12) comprises the introduction of a softener (16), in particular H2O.

  • Patent number: 9138797
Abstract: In a method for producing a structural part from an iron-manganese-stell sheet (1), a sheet-metal workpiece (2) is cold-formed in a forming die (3). The formed sheet-metal workpiece is heated to a temperature between 500° C. and 700° C. (4) and calibrated in a calibrating die (5).

Inventors: Ludovic Samek, Martin Peruzzi, Enno Arenholz
  • Patent number: 9090951
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the production of a hardened component made of a hardenable steel, wherein the steel strip is exposed to a temperature increase in an oven, and is thus exposed to an oxidizing treatment such that a surface oxide layer is created, and subsequently a coating using a metal or a metal alloy is carried out. The strip is heated and at least partially austenitized for producing an at least partially hardened component, and subsequently cooled and thereby hardened. The invention also relates to a steel strip produced according to said method.

Date of Patent: July 28, 2015
    Assignee: VOESTALPINE STAHL GMBH
Inventors: Werner Brandstätter, Siegfried Kolnberger, Thomas Kurz, Martin Peruzzi, Johann Strutzenberger, Thomas Manzenreiter
