  • Patent number: 12008126
Abstract: A computer system that includes one or more processors configured to execute a secure sovereign manager that controls remote execution of commands on a sovereign cloud computing platform. The secure sovereign manager is configured to create an escorted session for an unqualified user for invoking commands on the sovereign cloud computing platform. The unqualified user does not have sovereign-trusted credentials that define qualifications required for accessing the sovereign cloud computing platform. The escorted session is asynchronously supervised by a qualified user that has sovereign-trusted credentials. The secure sovereign manager is configured to receive an indication of approval or denial of invocation of a received command. • Publication number: 20240181195
Abstract: The breathing assistance apparatus of the present invention includes a manifold that is provided with or retrofittable to gases supply and humidifying devices. The manifold allows gases from an oxygen concentrator to be combined with the flow through a gases supply and humidifying device, most usually air. The combined output of oxygen and other breathing gases (air) is then humidified. The breathing assistance apparatus and manifold of the present invention provides a safe method to add oxygen to the input air stream of a gases supply and humidifying device and reduces the amount of accumulation of oxygen within the gases supply device, reducing fire risk should sparking occur within the device.

  • Publication number: 20240162675
Abstract: An arrangement for generating amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) over the combination of the C-band and L-band wavelength ranges is proposed, based on a reflective topology that reduces the number of individual components (compared with separate C-band and L-band ASE sources) required to generate the broadband ASE output. A pair of ASE generators are used, where at least one of the generators is configured to include a reflective element at a termination of the included gain fiber. The inclusion of the reflective element allows for the generated emission to pass through the gain fiber twice (emulating the operation of a conventional dual-stage ASE source). A long wavelength portion of the ASE created by a first ASE generator may be used as a seed input by the remaining ASE generator of the pair to further increase the efficiency of extending the ASE along the L-band wavelength range.

  • Patent number: 11971732
Abstract: An agricultural harvester includes an electromagnetic detecting and ranging module for detecting a location of an object relative to the agricultural harvester and a camera for capturing images of an area within a field of view of the electromagnetic detecting and ranging module. One or more computing devices receive first data from the electromagnetic detecting and ranging module, the first data indicating the location of the object relative to the agricultural harvester, receive image data from the camera and use the image data to determine whether the object is a receiving vehicle. If the object is a receiving vehicle, the one or more computing devices use the first data and the second data to generate graphic data defining a graphical representation illustrating the relative positions of the unload conveyor and the receiving vehicle. An electronic device including a graphical user interface presents the graphical representation on the graphical user interface.

  • Publication number: 20240118160
Abstract: A device and a process detect a leak during artificial ventilation of a patient. A measurement system with a sensor arrangement and a sensor fluid guide unit is monitored. A fluid connection is established between a patient-side coupling unit and a medical device with a patient fluid guide unit. A gas sample is branched off from the patient fluid guide unit and guided through the sensor fluid guide unit to the sensor arrangement. A thermal conductivity time course of the gas sample reaching the sensor arrangement is determined with sensor arrangement measured values. Depending on a temporal change in the determined thermal conductivity, a decision is made as to whether there is an indication of a leak between the patient's fluid-guiding unit and the sensor arrangement. The leak establishes a fluid connection between the sensor fluid guide unit and/or the sensor arrangement and the environment.

  • Publication number: 20240116486
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to allow a reliable quantification and classification of brake abrasion of a brake system of a vehicle and simultaneously reduce the complexity in a practical application. This is achieved by a measuring rim with a rim interior, in which a collecting housing is arranged that extends in the circumferential direction of the measuring rim over an extension angle (?). A collecting housing interior is formed in the collecting housing, and the collecting housing is at least partly open towards the collecting housing interior on a radially inner circumferential surface extending in the circumferential direction of the measuring rim. A discharge area is provided on the rim flange on the measuring rim, and a collecting channel which connects the collecting housing interior of the collecting housing to the discharge area is provided on the measuring rim.

  • Publication number: 20240112822
Abstract: A neutron reflector design which lowers stress in inner reflector members by supporting the inner reflector members on radially adjacent outer reflector members at the interface between the inner and outer reflector members, such that an individual inner reflector member is not supported by an inner reflector member in a layer of the reflector assembly immediately below, and the inner reflector member does not have to bear a load from an inner reflector member in a layer of the reflector assembly immediately above. The lowering of the load carried by the individual inner reflector members with this individual-member-support arrangement reduces stress-induced reflector damage with is enhanced in the high radiation flux environment adjacent to a nuclear reactor core. The inner reflector members are removable for replacement without the need to remove the outer reflector members.
