  • Patent number: 11893807
Abstract: A method for determining a state of vigilance of a driver in a vehicle using a predetermined image-analyzing algorithm. The method especially includes a step of executing the predetermined algorithm on the generated sequence of images in order to detect a series comprising at least one movement of the head of the driver, a step of determining the speed and/or the amplitude of each identified movement and of the dynamic and static periods of the head of the driver, a step of detecting dynamic and static periods of the head of the driver and of measuring the frequency and duration of each period, and a step of determining a state of vigilance of the driver from the speed and/or the amplitude determined for each identified movement and from the frequency and duration of each detected period.

  • Publication number: 20230311759
Abstract: A method for determining the posture of a driver of a vehicle. The vehicle includes a camera capable of generating a sequence of images of the position of the driver of the vehicle and an electronic control unit including a memory zone, in which a plurality of image processing masks is recorded, with each mask being associated with a predetermined posture of the driver in their seat. The method includes the camera generating a sequence of images of the position of the driver and sending the sequence of images to the electronic control unit, computing, by the electronic control unit, for each mask of the plurality of masks, the convolution product of the mask with at least one image of the sequence of images received from the camera in order to obtain a correlation coefficient, and determining the posture of the driver from the mask with the highest correlation coefficient.

  • Publication number: 20230230359
Abstract: A method for generating synthetic images, each image simulating an image of an individual acquired by a vehicle interior camera, including: generating a plurality of models of individuals, each model including a three-dimensional representation of an individual's head; receiving a set of variable parameters and a probability distribution associated with each parameter; generating a set of configurations, each configuration corresponding to a combination of values or states taken by each parameter, such that the set of configurations is representative of the probability distribution of each parameter; generating, for each model of an individual, a set of images simulating images of the model of an individual acquired by a vehicle interior camera, where each image corresponds to a configuration generated for a variable parameter, and where each image further includes the three-dimensional positions of a set of points characterizing the individual's head; and storing all the images in a memory.

  • Publication number: 20220027646
Abstract: A method for determining a level of drowsiness of a driver of a motor vehicle on the basis of a predetermined image analysis algorithm, the vehicle including a camera and a computer, the computer implementing the predetermined algorithm on the basis of a set comprising at least one parameter relating to the attitude of the driver, the method, implemented by the computer, including a phase of learning and a phase of monitoring the state of the driver.
