  • Patent number: 10400894
Abstract: A sensor device is provided for detecting a shifting position of a vehicle transmission. The vehicle transmission includes a transmission chamber, in which transmission elements are arranged. The sensor device includes a bar element, which extends from the transmission chamber into a secondary chamber sealed off from the transmission chamber and is arranged such that the bar element can be moved in dependence on the shifting position. The bar element has an interface arranged in the transmission chamber for coupling the bar element to a transmission element positioned in dependence on the shifting position and an accommodating segment arranged in the secondary chamber. The sensor device also has a transducer element, which is attached to the accommodating segment of the bar element. The sensor device also has a detecting device for detecting a position of the transducer element depending on the shifting position or a motion of the transducer element depending on a change in the shifting position.

  • Publication number: 20070175106
Abstract: A guard for preventing debris from entering a downspout of a rain gutter is provided. The guard includes a piece of non-woven material having a top surface, and a plurality of cross-sections that increase in area toward the top surface. The cross sections are generally complementary to an opening of the downspout. The material is adapted to extend at least partially into the downspout. The increase in area of the cross-sections toward the top surface prevents the material from being over-inserted into the downspout opening.

  • Publication number: 20060019598
Abstract: A profiled ridge vent for tile roofs is provided having a vent strip located on each side of a roof ridge. Each vent strip includes a vent material, formed from a non-woven mat, including a first surface, contoured to a profile to match a profile of the tile roof, and a second surface. An upper water barrier is attached to the second surface of at least one of the vent strips and extends over the roof ridge. A water dam is attached to the first surface and extends in an up-slope direction toward the roof ridge. In use, a first vent strip is located on a first side of a roof ridge pole, and a second vent strip is located on a second side of the roof ridge pole. The upper water barriers of the first and second vent strips overlap one another at the ridge pole. Preferably, adhesive is provided on at least one of the upper water barriers so that the two water barriers are connected together. Alternatively, a single water barrier is provided which bridges the ridge pole and joins the first and second vent strips.

  • Publication number: 20050229503
Abstract: A roofing system has at least one roof panel, located above the base surface, having at least one longitudinally extending projection; a gap defined between the base surface and the projection; and a venting material located within the gap that both vents the gap and prevents ingress of moisture into the gap.

  • Publication number: 20050126088
Abstract: A roof ventilation system for asphalt shingle or composition roofs which include a vent slot located through the roof structure along a roof ridge is provided. An unrollable vent assembly that is installable in one piece is formed from an upper water barrier having first and second vent arrangements connected thereto, and each of the first and second vent arrangements include at least two longitudinal strips of a vent material with a longitudinally extending space therebetween. The strips of vent material and the longitudinally extending space are positionable on the roof parallel to the ridge so that the first and second vent arrangements are located on each side of the ridge vent slot, respectively. The vent system prevent ingress of moisture and debris, and the upper water barrier extends between the first and second vent arrangements and over the vent slot in the installed position.

  • Publication number: 20050016078
Abstract: A non-woven mesh guard which can be inserted into a downspout opening in a rain gutter in order to prevent debris from entering the downspout is provided. The non-woven mesh includes a large free area to allow for the flow of water therethrough while preventing debris from entering the downspout. Anchor pins are installed in the guard to prevent it from being forced too far down into the downspout opening. Alternatively, the non-woven material may be formed such that it includes an enlarged top portion which rests in the base of the gutter over the downspout opening while a reduced size portion is inserted into the downspout.
