  • Publication number: 20220011045
Abstract: A food safety system for food items in cooled environments includes a temperature sensor unit having a temperature sensor, a power supply and a data transmission element. The temperature sensor unit is positioned in a cooler, wherein the cooler has a plurality of predefined food item positions. A control center unit having a computer processor and a memory is adapted to execute a deterministic mode function to predict the core temperature change of such a food item on a predefined food item position in said cooler. The deterministic mode function depends on heat transfer parameters related to the predefined food item position of the cooler used, food specific coefficients related to the kind of food item taken from a group of food types, the environment temperature measured by the temperature sensor, and the predicted current core temperature of the food item.

  • Patent number: 9619100
Abstract: An apparatus may include a data manager configured to manage user contacts or other data segments. The apparatus may further include an importance level determiner configured to determine an importance level for each of the user contacts or other data segments. The importance level may be based on a contextual characteristic, and therefore the apparatus may include a contextual characteristic determiner. Further, the apparatus may include a content segment adaptor configured to adapt a content segment relating to one of the user contacts or other data segments based on the importance level. For example, the content segment adaptor may select the size, color, and/or position of the content segments. Content segments may include avatars, messages, and contact information in some variations.

  • Publication number: 20120054656
Abstract: An apparatus may include a data manager configured to manage data segments such as user contacts and communications. The apparatus may further include an importance level determiner configured to determine an importance level for each of the data segments. The importance level may be based on a contextual characteristic, and therefore the apparatus may include a contextual characteristic determiner. Further, the apparatus may include a content segment adaptor configured to adapt content segments relating to the data segments. For example, the content segment adaptor may adapt movement of the content segments to provide for relative movement of a selected content segment relative to remaining content segments. Content segments may include avatars, messages, and contact information in some variations.

  • Publication number: 20100281425
Abstract: An apparatus comprising a controller. The controller is configured to display a collection of representations each corresponding to a tag value and to receive input selecting one or more representations. The controller is further configured to assign a size and/or position of a representation according to a frequency of use and/or a time since last used for said corresponding tag value.

  • Publication number: 20100281409
Abstract: A notification manager for a computing device which has a display which designates a notification display area for simultaneously displaying a plurality of notifications when said notification manager is in a foreground mode, said notification display area being hidden when said notification manager is in a background mode, wherein a temporary notification is displayed when said notification manger is in said background mode, said temporary notification being displayed on a portion of a display not reserved for the display of notifications. The notifications in the notification area may be arranged according to an order in which they are generated. In an embodiment, notifications having an associated application are displayed in the notification display area and other notifications are displayed in a second area.

  • Publication number: 20100281481
Abstract: A user interface for simultaneously representing tasks and notifications in a computing device. The user interface presents the tasks as reduced size representations of the output of the corresponding tasks which are continually updated. The user interface allows a user to bring a selected task to the foreground or to close the task, both by interacting with the representations of the tasks. The user interface further associates notifications with corresponding tasks by superimposing an icon of the notification on the representation of the corresponding task. The user interface orders and arranges the task representations and icons of the notifications according to certain layout rules.
