Abstract: A food safety system for food items in cooled environments includes a temperature sensor unit having a temperature sensor, a power supply and a data transmission element. The temperature sensor unit is positioned in a cooler, wherein the cooler has a plurality of predefined food item positions. A control center unit having a computer processor and a memory is adapted to execute a deterministic mode function to predict the core temperature change of such a food item on a predefined food item position in said cooler. The deterministic mode function depends on heat transfer parameters related to the predefined food item position of the cooler used, food specific coefficients related to the kind of food item taken from a group of food types, the environment temperature measured by the temperature sensor, and the predicted current core temperature of the food item.

For example, the content segment adaptor may select the size, color, and/or position of the content segments. Abstract: A method of handling a graphical user interface of a computing device includes a display and a touch screen is described. The method for the computing device includes displaying a user interface element on the display, opening a menu structure on a side of the element by a touch on the touch screen, and activating a menu option from the menu structure by positioning the menu option within a selection area of the menu structure by a touch. An apparatus that is configured to perform the method and a computer program product comprising instructions to perform the method are also described.

Abstract: A method, program product and computer for managing computer programs in a running state on a computer operating system are described. The computer programs have at least one normal user interface representation, such as a window, for receiving input from a user and producing output to a user. Reduced representations of normal user interface representations are formed for the computer programs so that the reduced representations can be presented simultaneously on a display of the computer. A selection input is received from a user for selecting a reduced representation of a second computer program for providing a normal user interface representation of the second program to a user in response to the selection input. At least a part of the normal user interface representation of the first program simultaneously with the reduced representations, where the reduced representations are indicative of states of the computer programs.

Abstract: An apparatus has a display and a user interface view, where the user interface view includes user interface components that are differentiated according to their characteristics into at least content components and effect components. A method includes automatically creating a theme by means of a source image; adjusting the created theme automatically based on sensor data; and rendering the user interface view on the display according to the theme, wherein the theme defines a common appearance of content components and to define the effect of at least one effect component. Technical equipment for performing the method is also described.
