  • Publication number: 20240045090
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for separating information associated with diffraction events from specular information present in the seismic data, the method comprising the steps of: obtaining an input data, wherein the input data is a pre-stacked seismic data; building velocity guides, which comprises providing a table containing velocity information for time samples for different CDPs (Common-Depth Points) indices; estimating DSR (Double Square Root) kinematic parameters, which comprises estimating kinematic parameters associated with the DSR traveltime for each sample of the input data considering an estimation aperture, which comprises the region in which the DSR traveltime adjustment to the input data will be evaluated; DSR stacking of each input data sample considering a stacking aperture, which comprises the region in which the input data amplitudes will be stacked over the DSR traveltime; and DSR spreading each sample of the pre-stacked data, comprising defining a aperture, wherein the ape

  • Patent number: 11163082
Abstract: Methods, systems, devices, and products for performing well logging in a borehole intersecting an earth formation to obtain and transmit an acoustic reflection image of the formation. Methods include identifying a set of features in the acoustic reflection image substantially fitting a pattern, wherein the set of features corresponds to a portion of at least one reflecting structural interface of the formation; and using a representation of the pattern as the compressed representation of the acoustic reflection image. The features may be amplitude peaks in the acoustic reflection image, and the pattern may be a line segment therein that is obtained from the amplitude peaks. Identifying the set of features may include generating a binary image of the amplitude peaks.

  • Patent number: 6507787
Abstract: A method for the suppression of multiple reflections using a Kirchhoff algorithm Multiple reflections are simulated by means of a Kirchhoff-type summation applied to a pseudo zero-offset section. An adaptive filter is applied to adjust the simulated multiple. The adjusted simulated multiple is subtracted from the input data.
