  • Publication number: 20070258575
Abstract: An apparatus and method for number portability for an IMS network. In one example the method may have the steps of: processing all calls with E.164 numbers in a BGCF (Breakout Gateway Control Function); executing digit analysis on a respective E.164 number in the BGCF; and querying, by the BGCF, a NPDB (portable number database) to retrieve a routing number if the respective E.164 number is ported.

  • Publication number: 20060068796
Abstract: Calls to a wireless telephone number that are to be redirected by a gateway switch to another number can be properly billed, even if the wireless telephone number is ported to another service provider by billing the wireless telephone number subscriber for the charge that would have been incurred by placing a call to the forwarded number from the mobile telephone located in its home service area.

  • Patent number: 6086032
Abstract: A purlin hanger used for suspending a wide variety of items from many different types of purlins which may be horizontal or sloping. The hanger is primarily a rigid high strength generally C-shape frame or body which includes an angled upper end and an offset lower end. The angled upper end bears against the interior of a corner formed by a web and a lower flange of the purlin. The lower end is slightly offset from the exterior of the corner and has a tapped hole to receive a threaded hanging rod to which a wide variety of clips or clamps may be attached. The C-shape frame extends with considerable clearance around the purlin lower flange and any treatment of the edge of the flange such a fold or further flange. An adjustable shim is positioned between the lower end of the body and the exterior of the corner of the purlin. The hanger engages the purlin at the interior of the corner and avoids placing a load with any significant moment arm on any part of the flange of the purlin.

  • Patent number: 6012691
Abstract: A simplified universal beam hanger suitable for concrete and steel beams, includes a pair of L-shape members each having notched vertical legs and horizontal legs. Adjustable spring clips fit on the notched vertical legs and project inwardly to bear on a portion of the beam. The clips have spread or angularly related spring legs and each has a hole which will telescope over the notched vertical leg only when each of the spring legs are pressed toward [a position] one another such that each of the spring legs are positioned generally normal to the vertical leg of the L-shape members. The clip has a bearing fulcrum which requires the load to be relieved before both legs of the clip can be pressed together and any vertical adjustment made. The horizontal legs of the L-shape members telescope into a housing beneath the beam and are maintained parallel and adjacent each other. The housing is formed from a single piece of sheet metal and has a clamp and confining windows at each end.

  • Patent number: 5713157
Abstract: A deck hanger utilizes two sheet metal spring hanger clips to hook behind parallel accessible edges of a deck installation. Each clip has a body which includes a rectangular hole. A rectangular bar is positioned through the holes and U-shape blocking clip straddles each hanger clip body securing the bar in place. The bar spans a downwardly opening channel formed by the deck panels and supports cable trays, piping or other installations utilizing what might normally be dead space. Each clip also has a hook portion with a back having a barb and a nose portion no thicker than the sheet metal from which it is formed to enable grasping of the edges without distortion.

  • Patent number: 5667181
Abstract: A trapezium and like structure spring metal hanger clip includes two upwardly extending legs which are interconnected at their lower ends by a short bottom section. One leg at its top includes a generally horizontal arm extending toward the top of the other leg and adapted to be positioned through a hole in the top of the other leg. The horizontal arm is generally channel shape in sectional configuration and the upper edge includes serrations adapted to engage the upper edge of the hole in the top of the other leg, to prevent the clip from being sprung open without the other leg moving upwardly with respect to the arm. The clip may be sprung open in one form and the horizontal arm inserted through the trapezium and like structure and into the hole at the top of the other leg. In this manner both legs are supported by the horizontal arm. In another form, the clip is already open. A nut is snapped into place between the legs at the lower end and held against vertical movement and rotation.

  • Patent number: 5667177
Abstract: A snap spring clip supports conduit, cables, and the like from a structure and has a C-shape body with one end of the body cooperating with the other end to form a restricted opening into which such conduit, cables and the like may be snapped. The one end of the body may be formed with a reversely flared lip while the other end is folded back on itself to form a U-shape clasp, the outer leg of the clasp being in the form of a more narrow finger extending generally parallel and adjacent the inner leg. The finger is somewhat longer than the inner leg and extends midway between barbs struck from each edge of the inner leg. The U-shape clasp is formed with a flattened bulb fold providing sufficient area to push the clip to a locking position with the finger extending through a hole. Once in the hole, because of the configuration of the fold, and the relative size of the hole and finger width, the clip is locked in place.
