  • Patent number: 11948592
Abstract: Many portable playback devices cannot decode and playback encoded audio content having wide bandwidth and wide dynamic range with consistent loudness and intelligibility unless the encoded audio content has been prepared specially for these devices. This problem can be overcome by including with the encoded content some metadata that specifies a suitable dynamic range compression profile by either absolute values or differential values relative to another known compression profile. A playback device may also adaptively apply gain and limiting to the playback audio. Implementations in encoders, in transcoders and in decoders are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11935262
Abstract: A method where one or more objects of a three-dimensional scene are determined in accordance with provided raw data of the three-dimensional scene representing a predefined environment inside and/or outside the vehicle. A two-dimensional image is determined in accordance with the provided raw data of the three-dimensional scene such that the two-dimensional image depicts the determined objects of the three-dimensional scene on a curved plane. The two-dimensional image has a quantity of pixels, each representing at least one part or several of the determined objects of the three-dimensional scene. Data is provided which represents at least one determined field of view of the driver. For at least one of the determined objects, the probability with which the at least one object will be located in the field of view of the driver is determined in accordance with the provided data and the two-dimensional image.

  • Patent number: 11699877
Abstract: A plug connector assembly includes first and second connector housings, a rotary lever, and a slide. The rotary lever has side faces each having a guide path into which in each case a guide pin on the second connector housing is inserted and is displaced along the guide path by rotation of the rotary lever whereby the connector housings move toward one another and electrical contact elements thereof connect. The slide is movable on the second plug connector housing. A driver element of the rotary lever cooperates in a form-fit manner with a driver element of the slide when the rotary lever rotates causing the slide to linearly move. A locking element of the slide is displaced relative to a locking element of the first connector housing when the slide linearly moves whereby a form-fit locking action between the locking elements may be established or cancelled.

  • Publication number: 20230056007
Abstract: A self-aligning electrical connector system for data and/or energy transmission includes first and second connector parts and a support frame. The first connector part includes positioning pins, flat elements, and a ball socket positioned between the flat elements. The second connector part is attachable to the first connector part and includes positioning chambers engageable with the positioning pins to achieve a coarse positioning of the connector parts relative to one another. The support frame has a flat central bar including spring arms. A ball is supported by the ball socket. The first connector part is supported on the support frame by spring forces of the spring arms acting on the flat elements and is supported on the ball with the ball being rollable on the central bar whereby the first connector part is floatingly arranged on the support frame and is shiftable and tiltable relative to the support frame.

  • Publication number: 20220256236
Abstract: The present document discloses a method for playback of media content via a delivery channel. The delivery channel may generally refer to the channels through which audio or video programs are delivered (transmitted) to the user (receiver). The media content may generally comprise consecutive media programs. In particular, for a specific media program within the media content, a respective content type for that specific media program is also provided. The method may comprise receiving an indication of the sensitivity of a media program to playback latency. The method may further comprise receiving at least a portion of the media program. The method may yet further comprise adapting the playback of the media program based on the indication of its sensitivity to playback latency.

  • Publication number: 20220059102
Abstract: A method of encoding audio content comprises performing a content analysis of the audio content, generating classification information indicative of a content type of the audio content based on the content analysis, encoding the audio content and the classification information in a bitstream, and outputting the bitstream. A method of decoding audio content from a bitstream including audio content and classification information for the audio content, wherein the classification information is indicative of a content classification of the audio content, comprises receiving the bitstream, decoding the audio content and the classification information, and selecting, based on the classification information, a post processing mode for performing post processing of the decoded audio content. Selecting the post processing mode can involve calculating one or more control weights for post processing of the decoded audio content based on the classification information.

  • Patent number: 11075762
Abstract: The present document relates to transcoding of metadata, and in particular to a method and system for transcoding metadata with reduced computational complexity. A transcoder configured to transcode an inbound bitstream comprising an inbound content frame and an associated inbound metadata frame into an outbound bitstream comprising an outbound content frame and an associated outbound metadata frame is described. The inbound content frame is indicative of a signal encoded according to a first codec system and the outbound content frame is indicative of the signal encoded according to a second codec system. The transcoder is configured to identify an inbound block of metadata from the inbound metadata frame, the inbound block of metadata associated with an inbound descriptor indicative of one or more properties of metadata comprised within the inbound block of metadata, and to generate the outbound metadata frame from the inbound metadata frame based on the inbound descriptor.
