  • Publication number: 20110138604
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of establishing a press fit of a component with a mounting hole on a shaft. It aims at providing a method that allows exact positioning of the component to be mounted on the shaft as well as a flexible way of use. To this end, the method is so conceived that an inner surface of the mounting hole of the component and/or a circumferential surface of the shaft is/are partially fused so that calotte-shaped projections protruding beyond the inner surface of the mounting hole and/or the circumferential surface of the shaft will form, that the component and/or the shaft is/are subsequently cooled, so that the calotte-shaped projections will solidify, and that the component is then slipped onto the shaft until the mounting hole is positioned in a fastening area of the shaft. In addition, the present invention also relates to components for establishing a press fit of a shaft-hub connection.

  • Patent number: 7951691
Abstract: In a method for producing a thin film chip including an integrated circuit, a semi-conductor wafer having a first surface is provided. At least one cavity is produced under a defined section of the first surface by means of porous silicon. A circuit structure is produced in the defined section. The defined wafer section is subsequently released from the semiconductor wafer by severing local web-like connections, which hold the wafer section above the cavity and on the remaining semiconductor wafer.

  • Publication number: 20110054754
Abstract: A clutch actuator and to a method for the control thereof. The actuator actuates a multi-disk clutch, and to do so has actuator modules. The number of which corresponds to the number of the friction clutches. The modules have separate control units and electric motors, which are controlled by the control units and act on the friction clutches by a disengaging mechanism. In order to counter block the partial drive trains disposed downstream of the friction clutches, particularly automatically closed friction clutches during a malfunction of an actuator module, the actuator modules are connected among each other to a data line, which allows monitoring of the actuator modules and counter-measures.

  • Publication number: 20100314190
Abstract: An interlock system (1) for a vehicle is provided with an alcohol tester (4), which is designed to measure the alcohol level of a driver of the vehicle. A control device (2) is coupled with the alcohol tester (4) and is designed to make it possible to start the vehicle or to prevent the vehicle from being started depending on the measured alcohol level. A transceiver module (3) is coupled with the control device (2) and is designed to send data to a remotely located control system in a wireless manner or to receive data from said control system in a wireless manner. The transceiver module (3) is designed, furthermore, to release the control device (2) in response to data received in a wireless manner in order to make it possible to start the vehicle regardless of the operating state of the control device.

  • Patent number: 7673990
Abstract: An individual eyeglass lens in which the vertical distance from the near reference point to the far distance point amounts to max. 18 millimeters, the progressive length is max. 14 millimeters, the main progressive length is max. 10 millimeters and the increase in refractive index, starting from the effect of the eyeglass lens at the far reference point up to a point 2 millimeters below the centering point amounts to less than 10% of the addition. The progressive length corresponds essentially to the vertical distance between the far reference point and a point essentially on the main line at which, starting from the far reference point, the value of the effect of the eyeglass lens corresponding the first time essentially to the near value.

  • Publication number: 20100047048
Abstract: Loading platforms (16) of tail lifts (13) are usually raised and lowered or pivoted by hydraulic cylinders. Hydraulic cylinders require a hydraulic unit. Furthermore, there is a risk of contamination through unsealed hydraulic lines. To raise, lower and/or pivot the loading platform (16) of the tail lift (13), the invention makes provision to use roller screw mechanisms (19) which are driven by hollow-shaft electric motors (23). As a result, hydraulic drives for the loading platform (16) are no longer required. Each roller screw mechanism (19) is driven by the hollow-shaft electric motor (23). The unit consisting of the roller screw mechanism (19) and the hollow-shaft electric motor (23) operates in principle like a known hydraulic cylinder and also has approximately the same dimensions, with the result that hydraulic cylinders can be replaced by roller screw mechanisms (19) with hollow-shaft electric motors (23) without significant modifications to the tail lift (13).

  • Publication number: 20090098708
Abstract: In a method for producing a very thin chip including an integrated circuit, a circuit structure is produced in a defined section of a semiconductor wafer. The defined wafer section is subsequently released from the semiconductor wafer. For this purpose, the wafer section is firstly freed such that it is held only via local web-like connections on the remaining semiconductor wafer, which web-like connections are arranged at a lateral periphery of the wafer section. The web-like connections are subsequently severed.

  • Patent number: 7486490
Abstract: An actuator for a clutch or gear mechanism in a motor vehicle comprises an electric motor and an incremental encoder. The encoder comprises a position measurement signal output at which a position measurement signal can be output which has a number of different signal states, each of which is assigned to a relative position between a primary part and a secondary part of the electric motor. For the commutation of the electric motor, the position measurement signal output is connected to a position measurement signal input of a control device for a motor winding of the electric motor. The control device comprises a device for checking the plausibility of the position measurement signal and is designed in such a manner that on the occurrence of an implausible signal state the power supply to the electric motor is disconnected and/or the power of the electric motor is limited.

  • Patent number: 7448291
Abstract: To improve the safety of automated gearboxes, it is proposed that terminal positions of internal gearshift members and external actuation members be so defined separately from each other that one can recognize whether the engagement of a speed is accompanied by the attainment of a terminal position of an internal gearshift member or an external actuation member. Error analysis is possible in this way. For dual clutch gears, it is additionally proposed that one can, at least in gearshift operations that are critical in terms of safety, disengage on speed of a subgear in a separate procedure, before a new speed of this subgear can be engaged.

  • Publication number: 20080231800
Abstract: A spectacle lens with an object-sided front face and an eye-sided rear face, wherein at last the rear face comprises a viewing region that contributes to the optical effect of the spectacle lens and a carrier rim region that at least partially surrounds the viewing region and that does not significantly contribute to the optical effect of the spectacle lens. The rear face of the spectacle lens in the carrier rim zone is constructed substantially from a cosmetic viewpoint without consideration of the optical image-forming properties. A method for producing this spectacle lens is also provided.
