  • Patent number: 8594832
Abstract: A method and a storage device including a software product for designing a drilling pattern, and further a rock drilling rig, in the control unit of which a software product may be executed for designing the drilling pattern. For a group of holes of the drilling pattern, at least one master hole can be determined which comprises at least one dominating factor. The properties of at least one other drill hole are determined on the basis of the dominating properties of the master hole. A master hole may be a hole location master, hole depth master or hole direction master.

  • Patent number: 8548609
Abstract: A method for designing a drilling pattern for rock cavity excavation and a software product implementing the method. The drilling pattern is created by means of a design program. The drilling pattern defines several starting points of drill holes in a navigation plane, end points of the drill holes on the bottom of a round and further the directions and lengths of the drill holes. The face of the round is designed to have a desired shape by determining the locations of the end points for the desired face profile. A three-dimensional face profile is entered into the design program, which subsequently places end points to the face profile automatically.

  • Patent number: 8214073
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a software product for designing a drilling pattern for excavating a rock cavern. The invention further relates to a rock-drilling rig, in whose control unit the software product and the method are executable. During designing of the drilling pattern, drill hole bottom locations are placed at a blast plane at the bottom of a round. A drilling pattern design program determines the missing properties of the drill holes viewed from the bottom of the round towards a navigation plane. The program is able to determine a starting location for a drill hole based on the location and the direction of the bottom. The program also performs blasting calculation on the drill holes positioned.
