Abstract: The present invention is a pool or pocket billiards color-coded numbering system. This system can be applied either as an overlay on a standardized pool table surface or incorporated into the design of the pool table surface just under the four rails or cushions during manufacturing. It can be modified to accommodate pool tables of various sizes as the system is based on number repetition rather than measurement. The system operates upon measurements from table rails to all pockets. The numbers repeat on end rails and side rails creating strategic points where the horizontal and vertical lines cross. The color-coding makes it possible to locate the best routes on the table to the intended pocket through the use of measurements and mathematics.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system and method for employing telecommunications capacity information. In an embodiment of the present invention as a computer system, a batch server retrieves data from various digital subscriber line (DSL) related data sources and stores that data in a database. The data sources contain data related to the supply and demand for DSL services. The data source includes hierarchical attributes, such as an indicator of the geography from which specific data originated. Another embodiment also includes an interdisciplinary attribute, such as a department name. An embodiment of the present invention also includes a web server. In response to a request, the web server extracts the data from the database, and if necessary, calculates information concerning future supply and demand for DSL services. The web server generates an HTML report containing this data and transmits the report to the originator of the request.

Abstract: A disk refiner is provided with refiner plates having a working surface on each side thereof, and these plates are first mounted with one working surface in face to face engagement with the supporting face of the stator or rotor of the refiner. After the exposed working surfaces of the plates have been substantially worn away by use of the refiner, the plates are temporarily removed, their worn surfaces are ground into substantial parallellism with their unused working surfaces, and they are then replaced in the refiner with their ground surfaces engaging the faces of the stator and rotor.

Abstract: Refining plates for disk-type refiners are manufactured with a working surface on each side thereof so that they can be turned over for reuse after one working surface has worn away. Special provision is made for mounting these plates to protect the unused working surfaces while preventing bypass flow of stock through the grooves in each working surface which is not being used, and also to compensate for a worn-out working surface when the other side of the plate is being used. Identical plates may be used on both stator and rotor; alternatively, a double-sided rotor plate can be used in combination with a hub on which it is mounted for replacement whenever the stator plates are turned over or replaced.
