Abstract: An example of a system for monitoring and treating respiratory distress in a patient may include one or more non-invasive monitoring devices to acquire patient condition signals and a respiratory distress monitoring circuit to monitor a state of the respiratory distress using the patient condition signals. The respiratory distress monitoring circuit may include a signal processing circuit to generate patient condition parameters using the patient condition signals and a respiratory distress analyzer, which may include a parameter analysis circuit and a notification circuit. The parameter analysis circuit may be configured to produce a patient condition metric being a function of the patient condition parameters and to perform prediction and/or detection of an exacerbation of the respiratory distress based on the patient condition metric. The notification circuit may be configured to produce an alert notifying a result of the performance of the prediction and/or detection.

Abstract: Systems, computer program products, and methods are described herein for generating and authenticating use of a voucher associated with a resource in a distributed network. A distribution authentication system, like that described herein, is configured to generate a resource voucher based on a resource distribution from a transferor account to a recipient account, the resource voucher comprising an expiration period; receive a request for a voucher distribution; and authenticate, in response to receiving the request for the voucher distribution, whether the voucher distribution has met the expiration period, wherein, in the instance where the voucher distribution has met the expiration period, automatically redistribute the resource distribution to the transferor account.

A chamber is defined in the flow cell, having a perimeter with a narrower end and a rounded wider end. An inlet passage, outlet passage, and a sensor are arranged in fluid communication with the chamber. The inlet passage directs fluid into the chamber proximal its narrow end at an angle of between about 45° and 75° relative to the plane of gasket and the outlet passage directs fluid flow out of the wider end of the chamber at an angle between about 45° and 75° relative to the plane of gasket, the inlet passage and outlet passage being angled in opposite directions. The flow cell is useful for monitoring levels of chemicals in an industrial process stream, such as lactose levels in a dairy process stream.

The service management system includes an interface to the service order sources, a database, and an interface to network elements which provide the communications services. The service management system includes table-driven logic which is used to validate and process the requests to determine the provisioning information.
