  • Patent number: 11275349
Abstract: A method for tagging entities in a building automation system (BAS), the method including identifying, by a processing circuit, a first entity of one or more entities in a system library in response to receiving an indication to add the one or more entities to the BAS, wherein the system library includes a number of relationships between a number of tags and a number of entities. The method further including determining, by the processing circuit, one or more tags associated with the first entity based on the system library, determining, by the processing circuit, a tag type for each of the one or more tags based on a tag dictionary, and adding, by the processing circuit, the one or more tags to the first entity based on the tag type of each of the one or more tags.

  • Publication number: 20210216053
Abstract: A building automation system (BAS) with automatic metadata tagging management. The BAS comprises a system library and a computing system. The system library comprising a plurality of relationships between a plurality of tags and a plurality of entities. The computing system is communicatively coupled to the system library. The computing system is configured to manage entities within a station. The managing entities either corresponds to selective de-linking of one or more tags corresponding to one or more tagged entities, or tagging one or more entities by determining a tagging mechanism for adding one or more tags to one or more entities, or both. Further, the present disclosure envisaged a method for managing de-linking of one or more tags of tagged entities in the building automation system (BAS) and a method for managing tagging of entities in the building automation system (BAS).
