  • Patent number: 11951885
Abstract: A simulator for testing a capacity of an infant to travel includes a car body, a back seat in the car body, a base of a car seat assembly secured to the back seat, an infant seat secured to the base, a plurality of sensors, a plurality of force applying actuators, and a control. One set of sensors in plurality of sensors may monitor parameters for a subject positioned in the infant including oxygen saturation, pulse, and respiratory rate. Another set of the plurality of sensors may monitor a position of the infant seat relative to the base and the subject relative to the infant seat. The control is configured to operate the plurality of force applying actuators to apply lateral, vertical, and linear forces to the back seat, the base, and the infant seat to simulate car travel relative to the subject.
