  • Publication number: 20230130568
Abstract: To appropriately configure frequency for the wireless network communication module. A wireless communication device includes: a wireless network communication module; a main controller board including a main controller circuit and a non-volatile main storage device having a main database storing main position information to specify frequency for the wireless network communication module; and an engine controller board physically independent of the main controller board and including an engine controller circuit and a non-volatile engine storage device having an engine database storing engine position information to specify frequency for the wireless network communication module, wherein if the main position information and the engine position information differ, the main controller circuit configures frequency specified by the engine position information for the wireless network communication module, and overwrites the main position information stored in the main database with the engine position information.

  • Publication number: 20220166889
Abstract: In a consumables ordering system, an image forming apparatus notifies a management system about a consumable whose remaining quantity is under a specific threshold. When a consumable whose remaining quantity is under the threshold is autonomously notified from the image forming apparatus, the management system checks the consumable whose remaining quantity is under the threshold in a specific image forming apparatus other than an autonomously notifying apparatus (S122), and notifies the autonomously notifying apparatus about the consumable autonomously notified from the autonomously notifying apparatus, and ordering information as information necessary for placing an order for the consumable checked in S122 (S129). The autonomously notifying apparatus displays the ordering information notified from the management system, and places an order for the consumable for which the ordering information is displayed in response to an instruction.

  • Patent number: 10630634
Abstract: A sub processor, in the sleep mode, receives an mDNS query from the external device via the communication interface, then determines whether or not the mDNS query is a service discovery query, if determining that the mDNS query is not a service discovery query, determines that the mDNS query is a name resolution query, generates the response based on the name resolution RR, and sends the response to the external device via the communication interface.

  • Patent number: 10104256
Abstract: An electronic device includes a first processing device, a second processing device, and a power state control unit. The power state control unit controls a power state of the electronic device. The power state includes a normal state and a power-saving state. The second processing device ensures the execution of the process according to the received data in the normal state. The power-saving state at least temporarily stops supplying the second processing device with electric power while the first processing device ensures the execution of the process according to first received data. When a temporary wake up of the electric power supply to the second processing device is intermittently repeated in the power-saving state, the power state control unit determines a time interval from a termination of the temporary wake up to a start of a subsequent temporary wake up based on a specific condition during the temporary wake up.

  • Patent number: 10095299
Abstract: An electronic device includes a first processing unit and a second processing unit that has a power state control unit and executes a process corresponding to received data with which the first processing unit is not compatible. When the received data is present in a non-wake-up state, the power state control unit sets a power state of the electronic device to a temporary wake-up state regardless of a period set as a time period of the non-wake-up state to obtain an actual time period of the non-wake-up state as a basic value for calculating the time period of the non-wake-up state. The power state control unit sets average value of a plurality of obtained latest basic values as the time period of the non-wake-up state.

  • Patent number: 9398184
Abstract: Provided is a responding apparatus that receives information request data from a network in a normal mode and in a standby mode. The normal mode response data making part makes response data in the normal mode. In the normal mode, the response data information accumulating part accumulates the information of the made response data in the memory part. The response data information accumulating part sets changing information associated with changing, when the information of the accumulated response data is changed. When shifting from the normal mode to the standby mode, a changed response data making requests information of the changed response data to the normal mode response data making part. In the standby mode, the standby mode response data making part makes response data by using the information of the made response data and the information of the accumulated response data.

  • Patent number: 9350600
Abstract: Provided is a responding apparatus that performs a network response in the standby mode and is not required much time for transitioning to the standby mode. The responding apparatus receives information request data from a network and transmits response data corresponding to the information request data to network, in the normal mode and standby mode. A normal mode response data making part makes response data in the normal mode. A recursive response request part recursively transmits information request data that requires information of other response data to the normal mode response data making part in the normal mode. An information storing part accumulates the information of the other response data corresponding to the information request data. A standby mode response data making part makes response data from information accumulated by information storing part in the standby mode.

  • Patent number: 9329811
Abstract: In an image forming apparatus connected to a network, an interface unit receives information requesting data via the network and transmits response data to the network during a normal mode and a standby mode. A storage unit stores the response data being read out during the standby mode. A normal-mode response data generating unit generates the response data during the normal mode. An information storing unit, during the normal mode, stores, in the storage unit, information about the response data. A standby-mode response data generating unit, during the standby mode, generates the response data from the information about the response data, and stores a response frequency of the information. A stored response data deleting unit deletes, if an amount of the information exceeds a storage capacity of the storage unit, the information with the response frequency that is lower than a specified threshold.
