  • Patent number: 4822727
Abstract: A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material having on a support at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers and at least one light-insensitive upper layers on the emulsion layer, in which at least one of said light-insensitive upper layers contains a polymer latex having a glass transition point of at least 20.degree. C. and the said at least one light-insensitive upper layer and/or at least one other of said at least one light-insensitive upper layer(s) contains a polymer latex having a glass transition point of lower than 20.degree. C. In the silver halide photographic light-sensitive material, at least one of the light-insensitive upper layers can also have a melting time which is longer than that of the light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer. The silver halide photographic light-sensitive material has high sticking resistance and improved layer strength under low humidity conditions.

  • Patent number: 4610954
Abstract: A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material for obtaining a silver image comprising a water-impermeable support having at least one silver halide emulsion layer, and containing in association with the emulsion layer a compound selected from the group consisting of: (a) a compound represented by the following general formula (I): ##STR1## (b) a compound represented by the following general formula (II): ##STR2## and (c) a combination of a compound represented by the following general formula (III) and a compound represented by the following general formula (IV): ##STR3## (all the symbols are as defined in the appended claims), and a method of forming silver images using the above-defined silver halide photographic light-sensitive material, are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4500632
Abstract: A process for stabilizing a silver image is disclosed. The process is utilized in connection with a photographic material which is comprised of a water impermeable support having one or more light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers thereon. After the photographic material is exposed and developed it is subjected to further processing by conventional means. However, within the further processing an aqueous solution is utilized which includes any compounds represented by the general formula (I), (II) or (III) as defined within the specification. The compound(s) represented by the general formula is/are generally present within the processing solution in a total amount of about 0.1 to 10 g/l of processing solution. By utilizing the aqueous solution containing the compound represented by the general formula within the processing, it is possible to greatly increase the stability of the silver image formed.
