  • Patent number: 7287864
Abstract: A light amount adjusting device is assembled in a projector having a light source and a projection device projecting light from the light source on a screen through an image forming panel. The light amount adjusting device is arranged in the projection device or between the light source and the projection device. The light amount adjusting device includes a substrate having an optical path opening so that light from the light source passes therethrough; a blade member for adjusting quantity of light passing through the optical path opening; and a driving device for opening and closing the blade member. The blade member includes a base member formed of a polyimide sheet or a polyester sheet having heat resistance withstanding heat of the light source. A light blocking material is laminated on the base member.

  • Patent number: 7210795
Abstract: A light quantity adjusting device for adjusting light quantity of a projector apparatus. The adjusting device includes a substrate having an optical path opening and a blade guide surface having level differences in a direction perpendicular to the optical path; a plurality of blade members arranged at a circumferential edge of the optical path opening for rotating along the blade guide surface in an inclined state with respect to the optical path; and a plurality of pins disposed on the substrate for supporting base end portions of the blade members to rotate around the base end portions for opening and closing the optical path opening. A transmission member is mounted on the substrate for engaging the blade members, and a drive device drives the transmission member to rotate the blade members to open and close the optical path opening.

  • Patent number: 5956067
Abstract: A thermal transfer printing device for printing photorealistic color images with dye-sublimation inks of different colors and two-gradation images such as character and bar code patterns with a monochrome thermal wax-transfer ink respectively in separated printing sections. The bar code pattern is printed in the widthwise direction of the code bars with heating energy smaller than that for printing the bar code pattern in the lengthwise direction of the bars, thus increasing the reproductivity in producing the bar code pattern. Deviations in specific resistance among heating elements of a thermal print head can be compensated by multiplying image data energy to be supplied to the heating elements by ratios of the specific resistance of the respective heating elements to the maximum resistance in the heating elements, thus producing high-quality images on the recording medium.
