  • Patent number: 6196236
Abstract: An ultrasonic hair curling device capable of applying ultrasonic vibration efficiently to hairs for effective hair styling in a short time. The device includes a housing, an ultrasonic generator incorporated in the housing for generating ultrasonic vibrations, and a horn connected to receive and transmit the ultrasonic vibrations. The horn is formed at its end with a hollow barrel which projects from the housing for receiving therearound a strand of hair to be curled. The hollow barrel is provided at a portion intermediates at its longitudinal ends with a hair winding zone of which cross-section is smaller than the other portion of the hollow barrel. The hair winding zone of the reduced cross section can vibrate at an amplitude larger than at the front end of the barrel for applying the ultrasonic vibrations efficiently to the hair and making the hair curling effectively.

  • Patent number: 5448151
Abstract: In a battery charger for an electric appliance powered by an incorporated rechargeable battery such as an electric shaver or electric toothbrush, etc., a charger circuit and charging terminals are incorporated in a casing. The charger circuit supplies a charger current to the rechargeable battery through the charging terminals. The interior of the casing is divided into lower circuit compartment for receiving the charger circuit and an upper terminal compartment by a partition carrying the charging terminals in such a manner as to make a water-tight seal between the circuit and terminal compartments. The charging terminals project into the terminal compartment, are electrically connected to the charger circuit, and also are accessible through individual holes formed in a portion of the casing for connection with the rechargeable battery.

  • Patent number: 5289634
Abstract: A valve assembling and checking method includes the steps of: using air pressure from a nozzle 50 to press a spring 4 against the inner wall of a valve hole 2 to hold the same in a vertical position; moving the spool 3 immediately above the valve hole and allowing the spool to fall from a spool holding means 30, and repeating clamping and unclamping actions to adjust the location of the spool so that the spool is correctly received in the valve hole 2.

  • Patent number: 5124753
Abstract: A developing device having a developing sleeve loosely mounted on the peripheral surface of a cylindrical developing roller. Both end portions of the developing sleeve are pressed against the developing roller by a pair of guide pads so that a part of the developing sleeve keeps contacting the developing roller. The force applied by the the pair of the guide pads to the developing sleeve is in such an extent that driving force of the developing roller is transmitted to the developing sleeve in the portion in which the developing sleeve contacts the developing roller and that the developing sleeve is allowed to rotate in correspondence with the rotation of the developing roller. A blade member for forming a thin layer of toner on the developing sleeve is in contact with the peripheral surface of the developing sleeve. Fine irregularities are formed on the peripheral surface of the developing sleeve so as to hold toners adhered thereto.

  • Patent number: 4672328
Abstract: A metal partition wall is placed inside a waveguide without ridge or the like and has an aperture in which a GaAs-FET is located, so that the input and output are coupled only through this GaAs-FET. The input and output terminals of the GaAs-FET are coupled through L-shaped coupling to the waveguide. An amplifier thus constructed has a high gain and is best adapted for power, while because the metal partition wall also serves as a heat sink.
