  • Patent number: 5911936
Abstract: A process for producing a radiator support, disposed between a radiator and a vehicle-side installation member, includes the steps of molding a rubber-elastic member, disposing the resulting rubber-elastic member in a mold, and completing a radiator support by injecting a resinous material into the mold. In the rubber-elastic member molding step, a rubber-elastic member is molded to include a rubber flange which has a top surface and a bottom surface. In the radiator support completing step, a rigid inner tube member and a rigid outer tube member are molded integrally with the rubber-elastic member, wherein the rigid outer tube member is molded so as to include a flange which has a top surface superimposed on the bottom surface of the rubber flange of the rubber-elastic member, a bottom surface, and a cut-off. The cut-off downwardly exposes a portion of the bottom surface of the rubber flange of the rubber elastic-member in a completed radiator support.

  • Patent number: 5769380
Abstract: A rubber vibration isolator with a bracket and a method of manufacturing the same. An elastic rubber member is vulcanization bonded to both a metallic cylindrical portion and an inner sleeve disposed inside of the cylindrical portion in a first securing portion opposed to an inner surface of the metallic cylindrical portion and a second securing portion opposed to an outer surface of the inner sleeve. Next, the metallic cylindrical portion is plastically deformed towards an axial center thereof to precompress the elastic rubber member. An arm portion is secured to an outer surface of the plastically deformed cylindrical portion by low temperature welding, thereby forming the bracket.

  • Patent number: 5758860
Abstract: A radiator support includes a rigid inner tube member, a rigid outer tube member, and a rubber elastic member. The rigid inner tube member has a radial through concavity formed through the inner peripheral portion in the radial direction, or the rigid outer tube member has a radial through concavity formed through the outer peripheral portion in the radial direction. The rubber-elastic member has a convexity formed at least on one of the inner peripheral portion and the outer peripheral portion. The convexity extends inward or outward, and fits into the radial through concavity of the rigid inner tube member to inwardly project from the inner peripheral portion thereof, or into the radial through concavity of the rigid outer tube member to outwardly project from the outer peripheral portion thereof.
