  • Patent number: 5738550
Abstract: A press-fit pin has a press-fitting portion having a plurality of bending portions which are to be elastically bent so that a bending stress generated in the press-fitting portion is dispersed to the bending portions. The press-fitting portion is to be press fit into a through hole. The press-fitting portion has a plurality of beams extending along a longitudinal axis of the press-fitting portion. The beams are elastically bent along a line parallel to the longitudinal axis when the press-fitting portion is press fit into the through hole. The press-fitting portion has a cross portion extending along the longitudinal axis of the press-fitting portion so as to connect the beams. The cross portion is elastically bent along a line parallel to the longitudinal axis when the press-fitting portion is press fit into the thorough hole.

  • Patent number: 5618202
Abstract: A connector for coaxial cables in the form of three flat cables. The coaxial cables are arranged in the cable holder in three rows, so that bared signal conductors extend straight from the cable holder in the insulating body of the connector and ground conductors or ground wires remain in the cable holder. The connector includes wide ground contacts which are inserted in the cable holder to contact the ground conductors or ground wires of the coaxial cables under pressure, and three rows of signal contacts to which bared ends of signal conductors of the coaxial cables are soldered. Three rows of signal contacts are supported by three parallel support plates, respectively. The ground contacts are arranged between first and second rows of the signal contacts and between second and third rows of the signal contacts. A ground shell surrounds the signal contacts whereby a multi-layer strip line structure is formed.

  • Patent number: 5474466
Abstract: A plug includes an inner pipe in which an external electric cable is installed; and an outer pipe supporting the inner pipe therein via an elastic member such that the inner pipe can move in the outer pipe in a withdrawal direction, the outer pipe being provided with a first locking portion for locking the plug to the socket. A socket accompanied by an electric circuit, the inner pipe being inserted into the socket so that the electric circuit is electrically connected to the electric cable, the inserting being performed in an inserting direction opposite to the drawing-out direction. A fixed block fixed to a base on which the socket is also fixed, however the construction consisting of the fixed block, socket and base is made so that an external force applied to the fixed block cannot be directly applied to the socket, the fixed block being provided with a second locking portion to be fitted to the first locking portion so that the plug is locked to the fixed block.

  • Patent number: 5437558
Abstract: A connector comprising a plug member having pin-like male contacts and a jack member having female contacts, the jack member being coupled with the plug member by a plug-in connection. A skirt having a plurality of holes is arranged to hold the pin-like male contacts in position. The skirt is supported in the plug member by the locating groove-pin engagement. The locating groove-pin engagement is released by the jack member when the jack member is inserted into the plug member and reestablished by the jack member when the jack member is withdrawn from the plug member. The skirt also has an alignment pin which is received in a locating hole of the jack member when the jack member is inserted into the plug member. Therefore, it is possible to insert the jack member in the plug member without the pin-like male contacts being bent, as well as to easily withdraw the jack member from the plug member.
