  • Patent number: 6878677
Abstract: The invention provides a refrigerator oil composition comprising a base oil of a mineral oil and/or a synthetic oil, and containing (a) a partial ester of a polyalcohol and a fatty acid and (b) an acid phosphate or its amine salt; and a refrigerator oil composition comprising a base oil of a mineral oil and/or a synthetic oil, and containing any of (a) acid phosphates or their amine salts, (b) acetylene glycol alkylene oxide adducts, (c) potassium salts of fatty acids, etc., (d) organic acids, and (e) fatty acid amides. The refrigerator oil compositions have good lubricity and are especially effective for reducing the friction in both the oil region and the extreme-pressure region in the sliding area between aluminium materials and steel materials.

  • Patent number: 6656891
Abstract: The invention provides a refrigerating machine oil composition by which a capillary tube is hardly clogged when a hydrofluorocarbon type, a hydrocarbon type, an ether type, a carbon dioxide type or an ammonia type is used as a refrigerant. It is a refrigerating machine oil composition in which base oil containing at least one oxygen-containing synthetic oil selected from a polyvinyl ether and a polyol ester is mixed with 1 to 20% by weight, based on the total amount of the composition, of a specific polyalkylene glycol alkyl ether or 1 to 40% by weight, based on the total amount of the composition, of an alkylbenzene having a number average molecular weight of 100 to 1,000.

  • Patent number: 4634543
Abstract: A fluid composition for use in a shock absorber is described, comprising (a) a lubricating base oil, (b) 10 to 1,000 ppm, as calculated as boron, of a boron-containing compound, and (c) 100 to 3,000 ppm, as calculated as phosphorus, of phosphoric acid ester and/or phosphorous acid ester. The invention also provides a shock absorber containing said fluid composition as the shock absorber fluid. This shock absorber has the advantage of high abrasion resistance and a low coefficient of friction of movement of the movable parts relative to the stationary parts therein.

  • Patent number: 4501678
Abstract: A lubricant for improving fatigue life is described, which comprises: (1) a lubricating base material, and (2) a compound having alkylthiocarbamoyl groups represented by the general formula (i): ##STR1## or (1) a lubricating base material, (2) a compound having alkylthiocarbamoyl groups represented by the general formula (i), (3) a molybdenum compound represented by the general formula (ii): ##STR2## or by the general formula (iii): ##STR3## and/or an ester compound. All the symbols in the formulae are as defined in the appended claims. This lubricant greatly prolongs the fatigue life of gears, etc.
