  • Patent number: 5950748
Abstract: A crawler-belt vehicle is a half crawler vehicle having front wheels furnished with tires, and crawlers on a rear wheel side composed of crawler belts extending between intermediate wheels and rear wheels. The front wheels are larger in diameter than the intermediate wheels and the rear wheels and, hence, have a large ground-contact surface area. Thus, while the vehicle is running on snow, the front wheels are not apt to sink in the snow to a greater extent with the result that the turning characteristic and breakthrough characteristic of the vehicle can be improved. The intermediate wheels may be set to toe in so as to prevent detachment of the crawler belts which would otherwise occur when the sub-beams are slightly flexed or deformed in a lateral outward direction under loads applied thereto while the vehicle is traveling at high speeds on the snow.

  • Patent number: 5910721
Abstract: In a position control system, the positional deviation between the position of the control point of the controlled object and the target position is corrected in accordance with the change of the relative positional relationship between mechanically related control axes. The control axes include a main shaft stand and a main shaft. The main shaft stand is supported by a column so that it can move in a vertical direction and is driven by the rotation of a screw shaft. The main shaft is provided on the main shaft stand so that the main shaft stand can move in a horizontal direction. The positional deviation of the main shaft from the target position in the vertical direction is calculated in accordance with the horizontal position of the main shaft with respect to the main shaft stand at the time of the position control. The position of the main shaft from the target position in the vertical direction is corrected based on the positional deviation.

  • Patent number: 5214592
Abstract: A machine tool position correcting method and apparatus applied to a machine tool including a spindle head provided on a column and a ram which is movable horizontally on the spindle head and has a main shaft to which a tool is mountable. In the arrangement, a quantity of horizontal movement of the ram is detected, a quantity of vertical correction of the ram is calculated on the basis of the detected quantity of horizontal movement of the ram, and the spindle head is moved vertically, while keeping a horizontal position thereof, on the basis of the calculated quantity of vertical correction of the ram. Since a vertical deviation of the ram has a correction to its quantity of horizontal movement, the vertical deviation, or quantity of vertical correction, of the ram is obtained by detecting its quantity of horizontal movement.

  • Patent number: 5111489
Abstract: In a frequency-dividing circuit for producing an output having a frequency half that of its input, a pair of terminals of a latch circuit are connected to input terminals of a pair of amplify/delay means, and are also connected to receive through a pair of transistors, the outputs of the amplify/delay means. A single-phase input signal is input to the control electrodes of the transistors to turn on and off the transistors. When the transistors are turned from off to on, the output states of the amplify/delay means are transferred through the transistors to invert the latch circuit, and the states of complementary terminals of the latch circuits are in turn transferred through the amplify/delay means to invert the output states of the outputs of the amplify/delay means. When the transistors are turned from on to off, no change occurs in the states of the circuit. In this way, the states of the circuit are inverted each time the transistors are turned from off to on.
