  • Patent number: 7518641
Abstract: By rotating a second camera (4) by a hinge (5) by 180 degrees so as to obtain an opening state, the second camera 4 faces a surface side. As a result, a first camera (3) and the second camera (4) are aligned horizontally, and use the same direction as a photographing range. When the second camera (4) is rotated, a system controller determines that a state is in a stereoscopic vision photographing mode. When a camera shutter is operated by a user, both the first camera (3) and the second camera (4) are allowed to perform a photographing process, and obtained two image data are stored in a memory after being attached to information indicating that the image is for the right eye and the image is for the left eye, and etc. Then, the two image data are transmitted by an e-mail function to a terminal of a communicating partner.

  • Patent number: 7349568
Abstract: An image acquiring unit acquires a two-dimensional image from a digital camera and a stereoscopic image from a stereo image storage, and sends those images to a pixel replacing unit. The pixel replacing unit replaces pixels, among the two-dimensional image, corresponding to an object such as a pattern depicted in the stereoscopic image, by pixels of the object. An image providing unit transmits a thus generated completed image to the user. Part of the two-dimensional image is displayed stereoscopically by a stereoscopic image.

  • Patent number: 7180478
Abstract: There is provided a stereoscopic video display that enables a viewer to recognize a more real stereoscopic video. A light source device 2 comprises a backlight 21 and a pinhole array plate 22. A liquid crystal display panel driver 5 feeds a pixel driving signal to a liquid crystal display panel 3, to form a pixel region 3a composed of a plurality of pixels respectively corresponding to pinholes 22a. Each of the pixels composing the pixel region 3a controls an amount of light transmission with respect to a light beam in each direction from the corresponding pinhole 22a. Consequently, the intensity of the light beam in each direction is reproduced. Lines respectively connecting the centers of the pinholes 22a and the centers of the pixel regions 3a are not parallel to one another, and are so set as to cross at one point of a position corresponding to the standard distance between the video display panel 3 and a viewer Z.

  • Publication number: 20030048354
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes an image obtaining unit and an information adding unit. The image obtaining unit obtains a base image for stereovision in a multiplex format or a side-by-side format, or obtains an original image and then converts it to such a base image. The information adding unit records information to be referred to for stereovision, such as the format of the base image and the number of assumed viewpoints, in a header of the image data.

  • Publication number: 20020141056
Abstract: A stereoscopic video display device comprises three video generators for respectively feeding red, green, and blue images, and a light beam synthesis system. Each of the video generators comprises a backlight, a liquid crystal display panel comprising a color transmission film for each of the colors, and a liquid crystal panel driver. The backlight comprises a light source and a pinhole array plate. A group of light beams is given to the liquid crystal display panel from each of pinholes in the pinhole array plate. A liquid crystal display panel driver feeds a pixel driving signal to the liquid crystal display panel, to form a pixel area, composed of a plurality of pixels, corresponding to each of the pinholes. Each of the pixels composing the pixel area controls the amount of light transmission of the light beam in each direction from the corresponding pinhole. Consequently, the intensity of the light beam in each of the directions is reproduced.
