  • Patent number: 5999685
Abstract: A light guide plate is provided including a first lens portion comprising a plurality of recessed or projected lenticular unit lenses formed of the same resin as that of the light guide plate on a light emission surface. The plurality of lenticular unit lenses in the first lens portion are triangular prism portions whose respective vertexes have an angle of 125.degree. to 165.degree. and are so arranged that their respective ridge lines are nearly parallel to each other. Such construction makes it possible to set the number of lenticular lens sheets used to one or to further eliminate the necessity of the lenticular lens sheets, so that the cost of parts and the fabrication cost of the light guide plate can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 5904064
Abstract: Disclosed is an improvement in a cam assembly for use in a pressing machine having a lower cam to be fixed to the base of the pressing machine, a spring-biased sliding cam whose front surface is allotted to fix a machining tool and a cam holder to be fixed to the upper frame of the pressing machine. The sliding cam is operatively combined with the lower cam to slide on the inclined surface of the lower cam synchronously with the rising and descending of the upper frame of the pressing machine, whereas the cam holder and the sliding cam is so combined as to leave a predetermined space defined therebetween, thereby permitting the sliding cam to be slidably held in the cam holder. The cam assembly further has a spacer to be inserted in the predetermined space and detachable fastening means to fix the sliding cam to the cam holder as if the slider were like with the upper frame of the pressing machine staying at its lower dead end.

  • Patent number: 5784036
Abstract: A head-up display device includes a display unit for emitting display light corresponding to images of control switches, and an optical reflector for reflecting display light. A windshield or a combiner installed on the windshield reflects the image before creating a display image in front of the windshield. The head-up display device has touch sensors on control switches mounted inside a vehicle. When these touch sensors detect user contact on a control switch, the display unit displays the touched control switch and related switches together with highlighting the same control switch in comparison with its related switches.

  • Patent number: 5760931
Abstract: A heads-up display unit provided with a display device serving as display image forming means which displays a display image. A hologram serves as a reflecting means, and reflects the display light emitted from the display device, causing reflection of the display image on the interior surface of a vehicle's windshield. A display image is formed outside the windshield towards the front of the vehicle. A concave mirror having a different focal length in different directions is recorded in the hologram serving as a reflecting means so as to offset distortion of the display image caused by curvatures of the windshield. This construction makes it possible to cause the windshield to display a display image free from distortion.

  • Patent number: 5572342
Abstract: A liquid crystal displaying device uses an inexpensive incandescent lamp or xenon lamp without sacrificing luminous intensity of a reflector, while maintaining an ease of installation. In the displaying device, a liquid crystal displaying panel, an incandescent lamp, a reflector, a lens and a heat-ray absorbing filter have a common optical axis and are secured to a bracket. The lamp is held by a socket and installed on the bracket transversely to the optical axis of the reflecting surface of the reflector. Further, the liquid crystal displaying panel has polarizing plates on both sides thereof. A coating to diffuse light from the lamp is disposed on one of the polarizing plates on the light incident side of the displaying panel. The polarizing direction of the polarizing plate on the other side of the displaying panel is selected so that the polarizing direction of the incident light waves on a reflective layer which is disposed on the front windshield glass provides a transversal or horizontal wave.

  • Patent number: 5404134
Abstract: At least three control patterns are used for a connection management control of nodes in a ring network, each node determining a changeable communication status in accordance with a communication status of the own node and the nature of the control pattern received from an upstream node. The own node transmits one of the control patterns, selected in accordance with the changes in the communication status, to the downstream node. The control patterns indicate respective conditions of the own node so that the communication enable status of the ring network, as a whole, can be autonomously established by the nodes per se without employing a monitor node or supervisory node.

  • Patent number: 5121119
Abstract: A reference analog signal is supplied to an analog-to-digital converter via a sample-and-hold circuit and an amplifier so as to obtain digital data corresponding to the reference analog signal. The obtained digital data corresponding to the reference analog signal is compared with predetermined reference data. The gain and the offset voltage of the amplifier is corrected so as to make the difference between the digital data corresponding to the reference analog signal and the reference data smaller than a predetermined allowance on the basis of the comparison result.

  • Patent number: 4957776
Abstract: The method of manufacturing an optical disc related to the invention first forms warp prevention layer on one surface or the other surface of the disc substrate where information is recorded on one surface, and then, recording film covering the surface opposite from the surface having warp prevention layer or beam reflection film covering the information-recorded surface, and finally protection layer covering either the beam reflection film or the recording film, in this order. Thus the optical disc related to this invention can prevent damage and dust from incurring and adhering to the other surface of the disc substrate when forming these films on one surface so that the warp prevention layer can be perfectly level by suppressing swell of the layer itself.

  • Patent number: 4743192
Abstract: A resin injection metal mold unit comprising, in combination, a metal mold consisting of a cavity section and a core section, and stationary and movable metal mold supporting members for releasably holding the metal mold sections in the opposing relationship. Each supporting member has a plurality of clamping members for engaging an associated mold section. Each clamping member has a clamping slant in the complementary relationship with the counter slant chamfer of the mold section. Such members are slidably attached to an associated supporting member so as to move close and apart from the mold section. When a mold section is fixed to an associated supporting member, the clamping members are brought in contact with the mold section with their clamping slants closely fitting the counter chamfer slants of the mold section, and then clamping members are fixed to the supporting member by driving associated bolts, thereby pushing and holding the mold section against the supporting member.
