  • Patent number: 6695238
Abstract: Liquid material is caused to freeze as a molded frozen body in a cylindrical form after the shape of the tubular inner wall surface of the freeze-drying apparatus, wherein the moisture content of the molded frozen material is sublimated under the vacuum to freeze-dry the material in the apparatus. A discharge port is defined at the lower end side of the tube, and jet nozzles are disposed, in the inner wall surface of the tube, for ejecting compressed air or gas toward the inner bore of the tube. The molded frozen body of the liquid material as freeze-dried is crushed and pulverized within the tube, by jet current ejected from jet nozzles.

  • Patent number: 6397490
Abstract: A flash drying apparatus has a vertical, cylindrical enclosure. In a lower portion of this enclosure is disposed a rotating disk. Above this disk is provided a crusher that, using blades formed radially thereon, crushes a raw material into a powdery or granular material. The crusher is provided with a material feeder that feeds the raw material to the crusher by letting the raw material fall onto the crusher. A hot wind feeder feeds a hot wind to the powdery or granular material from under the blades. The powdery or granular material blown upward inside the enclosure by the hot wind is exhausted through an exhaust duct provided in an upper portion of the enclosure. This flash drying apparatus prevents degradation in performance resulting from deposition of a raw material.

  • Patent number: 5544824
Abstract: A pulverizer is provided with: a ring-form rotary hammer supported by a rotary shaft and having a pulverizing blade including a plurality of concaves and convexes on its outer surface; a liner fixed so that a gap is left between the rotary hammer and the liner and having a plurality of concaves and convexes on its surface which faces the hammer; and a rotary classifying fan for discharging toward an exit a material pulverized between the rotary hammer and the liner into a predetermined particle diameter or smaller and directed to an upper part. The pulverizing blade is provided substantially on an entire periphery, and a circulation passage for directing downward a material not discharged toward the exit is provided below the pulverizing blade.

  • Patent number: 4909634
Abstract: A stirring device having a casing for forming a stirring chamber, a driving rotary shaft disposed in the casing, a plurality of stirring paddles fitted on the rotary shaft as being dispersed axially of the shaft and a plurality of projections attached to an interior wall surface of the casing. The projections are provided adjacent each other at least one in number on each operational track of a leading edge of the paddle so as to remove excess substance adhered to the paddle thereby preventing frictional wear of the casing by the substance. Also, because of an interspace provided between an axially adjacent pair of projections, the projections do not obstruct the stirring operation of the device.

  • Patent number: 4811909
Abstract: A ball mill comprising a container for receiving a material to be pulverized and pulverizing balls, and an agitator including arms rotatable on a vertical axis. The arms carry elongate agitating members extending along and revolvable about the vertical axis. All of the arms are disposed in a position above the material and the balls in the container. The agitating members are arranged substantially equidistantly on a circle or circles around the vertical axis. The container defines gas inlet ports in a bottom region thereof for receiving a gas during a pulverizing operation.
