  • Publication number: 20070147365
Abstract: A communication device transmits to a relaying device a transmission right grant request for requesting a grant of a transmission right to a transmitting device, and the relaying device determines whether the received transmission right grant request is a command associated with the transmission right of the communication device or a command associated with the transmitting device, and if it determines that it is the command associated with the transmitting device, it grants the transmission right to the transmitting device, and starts broadcasting of data being transmitted from the transmitting device. In addition, when receiving from the communication device an operation command for operating the transmitting device, the relaying device determines a type of the command and transmits it to the transmitting device.

  • Publication number: 20070102226
Abstract: To provide a rudder angle sensor with high accuracy, it is constituted such that a storage means capable of storing a correction value to correct a rotational delay of a driven gear relative to a main drive gear caused by a backlash at a time of reverse of a steering shaft is provided, a calculation means corrects a measured result of a measuring mechanism based on the correction value stored in the storage means, and thereby, a rotation angle of the steering shaft can be calculated. The measured result of the driven gear obtained by the measuring mechanism is corrected based on the correction value, and therefore, the backlash existing between the main drive gear and the driven gear can be matched completely or approximately. Namely, the high accuracy of the rudder angle sensor is realized.

  • Patent number: 7181554
Abstract: A memory in a controller device stores a current function information list, which is a list of function information of each target device currently connected to an IEEE 1394 serial bus network, and also stores a past function information list which is a list of function information of each target device having been connected to the network in the past. When the controller device gets a GUID from a target device after bus reset, the controller device searches for a record of the target device corresponding to the gotten GUID from the records in the current function information list and the past function information list prior to the bus reset. As a consequence, if the controller device finds a record of the target device corresponding to the gotten GUID, the controller device copies such record in the current function information list or the past function information list prior to the bus reset, and stores the copied record in a current function information list made after the bus reset.

  • Publication number: 20060200657
Abstract: In a network system, a resources using device which uses the resources in the resources holding device sends to the resources holding device a command to confirm whether the resources in the resources holding device are available. When receiving from the resources holding device a response showing that the resources are unavailable, the resources using device sends to the resources holding device a notification request command to request to send to the resources using device a derestriction notification showing that the resources have become to be available. After receiving the notification request command from the resources using device, the resources holding device sends to the resources using device the derestriction notification as soon as the unavailable resources have become to be available. Thus, the resources using device can either notify a user that the digital contents have become to be available or automatically start using the digital contents.

  • Patent number: 7061902
Abstract: A telephone set and an information terminal are connected by a packet switched network. The information terminal has a control target list in which a predetermined telephone set information is stored, and a terminal controller. The terminal controller generates, based on an instruction from a user, a control command in which an instruction related to multimedia phone communication is recorded, and sends that command to the predetermined telephone set. The predetermined telephone set has a terminal list storing information about the information terminal, and a telephone controller. The telephone controller generates, based on the control command received from the information terminal, a call control command for performing multimedia phone communication with another telephone set on the packet switched network, and sends that command to the other telephone set.

  • Patent number: 7062332
Abstract: If it becomes necessary to add, to a past device information list (past list), a record of device information of a target removed from a network, and if the number of records in the past list is already at its maximum so that it is impossible to store any more records in the past list, a microprocessor of a controller decides the priority of the removed target, based on device information of the removed target and on information of the kind of controller as stored in a configuration ROM in the controller. From records stored in the past list, the microprocessor searches for a record having a priority lower than the priority of the removed target, one by one in order from the first record therein. If the microprocessor finds a record having such a lower priority, the microprocessor deletes from the past list such record having been first found, and adds to the past list a record of the device information regarding the removed target.

  • Publication number: 20060045468
Abstract: The title of a program with a recording duration longest among all recording durations is recorded as the program title of a relevant program file. Thereby, even when a user has performed an operation to record a program on a hard disk recorder by a method other than a timer recording, the program title of a program that is most likely to be a program a user really desires to record can be recorded as the program title of a program file created by the recording. Accordingly, a DTV or a STB can display on its display appropriate program titles in a program file list at the time of playback of a previously recorded program.

  • Publication number: 20050289465
Abstract: When a user issues a bookmark setup instruction, bookmark information, which includes identification information for a reproduction point whereat video and audio data for currently reproduced content are recorded, identification information for the pertinent content and position information indicating the current reproduction point are generated and stored in a storage unit. And when a user issues a bookmark display instruction, the bookmark information is read from the storage unit and a list of bookmarks is displayed. When one of the bookmarks on the list is selected and its reproduction is instructed, a command is transmitted to a reproduction apparatus, indicated in bookmark information that corresponds to the selected bookmark, to reproduce content, indicated in the bookmark information, beginning at a reproduction point designated in the bookmark information.

  • Patent number: 6788677
Abstract: A gateway apparatus connects a packet-switched network to a PSTN, the packet-switched network having a plurality of information terminals connected thereto. The gateway apparatus includes a recognition operation, an incoming call notification operation and a connection operation. The gateway operates (or is configured) to recognize information terminals on the packet-switched network. The incoming call notification operation notifies all the recognized information terminals of an incoming call upon reception of an incoming call from the PSTN. The connection operation connects the PSTN to an information terminal that has responded to the incoming call notification first. An incoming call notification may be sent to all or a plurality of the information terminals on the packet-switched network in a point-to-multipoint communication using a broadcast address or a multi-cast address.
