Abstract: A refrigeration cycle or an air conditioner including a refrigeration cycle is subjected to feedback control based on modern control theory. An apparatus controlling a controlled object, that is, the refrigeration cycle of the air conditioner including the refrigeration cycle, is formed as an optimal regulator. A controlled input to the controlled object includes a capacity of a compressor or a degree of opening of an expansion valve. A control output from the controlled object includes a temperature of air at a point downstream of the evaporator or a superheat of refrigerant. • Patent number: 4848851
Abstract: Disclosed a brake control system for stably performing the brake control of a motor vehicle. The brake control system is arranged so as to control a braking pressure applied to a vehicle wheel so that the wheel speed becomes equal to a target wheel speed. The target wheel speed is determined on the basis of a predetermined slip ratio of the wheel and the vehicle speed of the wheel portion. The vehicle speed of the wheel portion is derived as a function of the turning radius determined in the steering amount of the vehicle and the vehicle speed. The brake control system is preferably constructed as an integral-added optimal regulator which controls the braking pressure on the basis of an optimal feedback gain predetermined in accordance with a dynamic model of a system performing the brake of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4811993
Abstract: An anti-skid control system for a vehicle with at least one wheel. The anti-skid control system includes a wheel sensor for sensing a rotational speed of the wheel and for generating a signal indicative of the sensed wheel speed and a brake sensor for sensing a braking force of a braking device which brakes the wheel and for generating a signal indicative of the sensed braking force. The wheel sensor and the brake sensor are respectively coupled to a control unit for receiving the wheel speed signal and the braking force signal to control the braking force of the braking device to a target braking force so that a slip ratio of the wheel assumes a predetermined value. The control unit determines the target braking force at the time of start of the anti-skid control to be equal to a braking force corresponding to the resultant of torques developed in the wheel at the control start time.

  • Patent number: 4360855
Abstract: An injector drive circuit in which the injector is opened in response to a pulse signal with a time width which determines the quantity of the fuel to be supplied to the engine. To the injector, a circuit for supplying a peak current at the time of fuel injection and a field effect transistor for supplying a holding current after supply of the peak current are connected in parallel. In response to the control signal from a fuel injection amount control circuit, the peak current is supplied to the injector, and upon detection that a predetermined peak current has been supplied to the injector, the peak current is stopped. Thereafter, by controlling the gate of the field effect transistor, the holding current is supplied to the injector through the field effect transistor, until the control signal is stopped.

  • Patent number: 4347544
Abstract: An injector drive circuit for driving an injector having a valve opened and closed according to a pulse signal with the pulse duration thereof corresponding to the quantity of fuel supplied to the engine. The injector drive circuit comprises a current supply power transistor connected to an injector coil. According to an electric pulse signal from a fuel injection control circuit, a first current control section causes base current to flow into the power transistor for causing a peak current through the injector coil. When a predetermined peak current is detected, the base current supplied by the first current control section is cut off. From this instant till the disappearence of the electric pulse signal, a second current control section, which supplies base current to the power transistor only when the current supplied from the power transistor to the injector coil becomes lower than a working current level, supplies in effect the working current through the power transistor to the injector.
