  • Patent number: 7545406
Abstract: A printer and a digital camera are respectively provided with a radio interface. The printer loads identification information of the digital camera upon receiving radio transmission of the digital camera. The printer checks the identification information with communication admission information stored in advance. When the identification information is coincident with the communication admission information, the printer automatically changes a normal print mode to a radio communication mode. After that, the printer directly loads image data stored in a memory card of the digital camera to perform printing out thereof.

  • Patent number: 7212236
Abstract: A digital camera provided with an optical zoom function and an electronic zoom function. In accordance with a specified photographic magnification, a magnification setting section selects a first magnification from a plurality of fixed magnification values which has been set in advance and sets the optical zoom function thereto, and sets a second magnification at the electronic zoom function such that, when the optical zoom function and the electronic zoom function are combined, an image of the specified photographic magnification is obtained. A settable range of magnifications that can be provided by the optical zoom function is constituted by a plurality of sub-regions which form portions of that range. For each sub-region, one magnification value included in that sub-region is selected in advance to serve as the fixed magnification.

  • Publication number: 20060051070
Abstract: With the image pickup apparatus according to the present invention, a still image is recorded when the operation switch is pressed to the first depressed position and recording of moving images is started or stopped when the operation switch is pressed to the second depressed position. That is, by simply changing the depressed position of the single operation switch, the user can record a still image or start/stop recording moving images, eliminating the need to change shooting mode each time. On the other hand, the image playback method according to the present invention displays still images together with moving images by identifying the still images based on the marking information corresponding to the moving-image frames being played back. This makes it possible to simultaneously view the moving images and the still images shot concurrently.

  • Patent number: 6897891
Abstract: A host computer includes a device driver which is adaptive to a digital camera and has a storage driver function for writing/reading image data representative of a still picture in/out of the camera by bulk transfer, an image driver function for receiving image data representative of a moving picture from the camera by isochronous transfer, an audio driver function for receiving speech data from the camera by isochronous transfer, and an operation driver function having operation commands on the shooting operation of the camera. During an electronic conference the host can receive image data representative of a moving picture and speech data as well as, if necessary, image data representative of a still picture prepared beforehand from the camera. The host also can receive image data representative of a new still picture taken during the conference from the camera.
