  • Publication number: 20110188057
Abstract: A processor divides objects laid out on a page into a plurality of blocks, and extracts a table block from the plurality of blocks. Then, for the table block, the processor executes margin reduction processing for reducing the blank portion between objects included in the table block.

  • Publication number: 20100097647
Abstract: When input print data is data for normal printing, a hot folder control manager changes information on the property rights of the print data to a holder to whom a quota of a shared folder is not set (holder on whom use limit is not imposed). Then, the hot folder control manager moves print data changing information on the property rights to a normal printing hot folder.

  • Publication number: 20090279114
Abstract: A print control apparatus controls a color multifunction printer (MFP) having a print unit and a paper ejecting unit, and a post-press section including a nearline finisher having a feeding unit and a post processing unit and including a post-press server controlling the finisher. The print control apparatus performs control as follows: The print unit is controlled to print content included in a job together with a job ticket and to print information included in the job ticket on the upper surface thereof. The paper ejecting unit is controlled to eject the job ticket using a determined paper ejection method so as to be placed on top of the printed media on which the content has been printed, in a state in which the printed media are stacked.

  • Publication number: 20090059279
Abstract: An information processing apparatus using a management code including a plurality of layers to designate a charging destination in performing charging based on a result of processing performed by an image processing apparatus includes a determination unit configured to determine whether a conflict exists in print setting items corresponding to respective layers included in the management code, and a setting unit configured to, if it is determined that no conflict exists in the print setting items corresponding to respective layers, set, for the print job, a print setting based on the management code and, if it is determined that a conflict exists in the print setting items corresponding to respective layers, set, for the print job, a print setting based the management code and a policy for determining a print setting for the conflicting print setting items.

  • Publication number: 20070229886
Abstract: The managing apparatus (14) issues device-control information of the device to a user of the information processing apparatus. The information processing apparatus (1) determines whether or not the device-control information has been received. If the device-control information has not been received, device-control information prepared in advance is obtained. If the device-control information has not been received, a job for executing processing within the range of the obtained device-control information is sent to the device via a network. If the device-control information has been received, a job for executing processing within the range of the received device-control information is sent to the device. The device (19) processes the received job within the range of the obtained device-control information.

  • Publication number: 20060279773
Abstract: Print job data is generated in accordance with a printing instruction from an application. When encryption of the print job data is designated, the generated print job data is encrypted, and the generated or encrypted print job data is output. When a printing apparatus serving as an output destination to which the encrypted print job data is output does not have a decryption function of decrypting the encrypted print job data, the output destination is changed to a decryption apparatus having the decryption function. When designation to save the print job data in the printing apparatus is detected in encryption, the print job is canceled.

  • Patent number: 5963655
Abstract: A figure, including characters, is developed into a plurality of figure patterns of figure shapes, and the plurality of developed figure patterns are registered, and a figure is drawn based on the selected registered figure pattern. Thereby it is possible to process not only a character but also a figure pattern by using a cache memory efficiently. As a result, high speed drawing can be performed.

  • Patent number: 5917507
Abstract: There is disclosed an output apparatus such as a printing apparatus or a display apparatus capable of exhibiting sufficient performance even when the output apparatus and the data source do not have the same bit map character font. The output apparatus has a memory for storing bit map character fonts, a detector for detecting the bit map character font designated by the data source and a transmitter, whereby the bit map character pattern is sent to the data source according to the detected bit map or font.

  • Patent number: 5909538
Abstract: There is provided an output apparatus in which an output resolution can be changed and a memory medium including character information of printing dot patterns is detachable. The memory medium has holding means for storing and holding output density information of dot patterns of characters stored in the memory medium. The apparatus comprises in one embodiment: reading means for reading out the output density information from the memory medium; and changing means for changing the output resolution on the basis of the output density read out by the reading means. When the output density information read out by the reading means differs from the printing resolution of the apparatus itself in the reading mode, the character information of the dot pattern in the memory medium is not used. With the apparatus, even if the number of dots constructing a character is changed, the character pattern can be automatically output at the optimum output resolution.

  • Patent number: 5562350
Abstract: A character output apparatus outputs characters of arbitrary size with vector character fonts, in which the vector character font is associated with data indicating the effective size range and alternative font to be used outside the effective size range, in order to obtain clear character output in any size.
