  • Patent number: 5221246
Abstract: Apparatus for supporting a user in an inverted position supported on their shoulder that includes foot members, an abdomen rest member, a support member, a pair of shoulder rest members that are disposed between the abdomen rest member and support member, and a pair of grip members that are disposed below the shoulder members. To use the apparatus, a user first bends their abdominal region over the abdomen rest member, positioning their shoulders above the shoulder rest members and grasps the grip members with their hands. They then rest their shoulders onto the shoulder rest members with their head fitted between which shoulder rest members. The user then pivots their hips and knees away from the abdomen rest member, straightening their legs, that engage the support member, at the backs of the legs or their hips, the support member supporting their legs in an inverted position.

  • Patent number: 4949712
Abstract: A body shaking device for shaking a user's body by an application of a side to side mechanical force thereto. The body shaking device includes a leg rest that is movable along a pair of parallel track sections that extend across a casing, the leg rest to receive the terminal parts of both of a user's legs who is reclining on a hip rest assembly or on a floor. The leg rest is reciprocated along the track by a remotely operated motor, such that the terminal parts of both the user's legs are shaken from side to side, with this movement consequently transmitted to their whole body that is thereby shaken, which shaking movement is similar to that as occurs when a rope end is forcibly moved from side to side.

  • Patent number: 4605224
Abstract: Exercise equipment is disclosed which comprises a spherical sector-shaped member with an upright column erected therein, a base plate mounted on the upper end of said column, an arm with the base end rotatably carried on said column and the free end projecting outwardly from the gap between the spherical sector-shaped member and the base plate. When the user stands on the base plate bodily movement rotates the rotatable arm. The number of rotations of the rotatable arm is indicated by a display device connected to an electric detection circuit while at the same time an audible signal is sounded every time the rotatable arm makes one rotation so that the user can detect his or her progress related to the dynamic equilibrium while practicing a willful exercise with pleasure.

  • Patent number: 4522392
Abstract: A physical exercise device is disclosed comprising a central connecting means, a pair of base frames having the same construction and symmetrically connected to opposite sides of the central connecting means, a pair of foot boards symmetrically mounted on the top of the respective base frames such that they can be moved away and toward each other, and a spring means connected between each base frame and the associated foot board to bias the foot boards toward each other. An operator may exercise his legs by placing his feet on the foot boards to strengthen the muscles of the abdomen and waist as well as the muscles of the legs in order to enhance, promote and maintain general health.

  • Patent number: 4428368
Abstract: This device is constructed in such a manner that a pump for suction and exhaust of air by an electric motor and a crank is provided with a funnel type cup by means of a detachable hose, and an opening portion of the cup is brought into contact with the part of the human body under pressure airtightly. Massage stimulation is performed by the air suction causing the swollen surface of the body and by the air exhaust (discharge) causing the pressure on the surface of the body. Moreover, the cup is provided with an electric heating illuminant to increase the massage stimulation effect by heated air or an electrode for generating low frequency pulse signal.
