  • Publication number: 20080057400
Abstract: A separator is made by using a copolymer for the separator including a monomer component derived from an olefin compound containing a fluorine atom and a monomer component derived from a polymerizable organic compound containing an oxygen atom in its molecule. This separator is excellent in resistance to oxidation and wettability to electrolytes. Therefore, by making a non-aqueous electrolyte battery using this separator, charge and discharge cycle life and storage characteristics of the battery improve. Further, similar effects can be obtained by using this separator, even in the case of a non-aqueous electrolyte battery using a high-potential positive electrode active material.
