  • Patent number: 5427838
Abstract: Here is disclosed a flexible plastic sheet comprising a plurality of first direction ribs (Y.sub.1, Y.sub.2 . . . ) each having opposite sides (12, 13) extending in the first direction (Y) and curved downward crossing a plurality of second direction ribs (X.sub.1, X.sub.2 . . . ) each having opposite sides (14, 15) extending in the second direction (X) and curved downward. The sheet is continuous in an area surrounded by each pair of adjacent first direction ribs and each pair of adjacent second direction ribs which cross the pair of adjacent first direction ribs. At each crossing (C.sub.1, C.sub.2, C.sub.3, C.sub.4), one of the ribs bulges upward and the opposite side edges of this rib are connected to the top of the other rib. • Patent number: 5399411
Abstract: Here is disclosed a flexible and air-permeable plastic sheet comprising a plurality of first direction ribs (Y.sub.1, Y.sub.2, . . . ) each having opposite sides (2, 3) extending in the first direction (Y) and curved downward crossing a plurality of second direction ribs (X.sub.1, X.sub.2, . . . ) each having opposite sides (4, 5) extending in the second direction (X) and curved downward so that each pair of adjacent first direction ribs and each pair of adjacent second direction ribs crossing these first direction ribs define together an air-permeable vacant space. At each crossing (C.sub.1, C.sub.2, C.sub.3, C.sub.4), one of the ribs bulges upward and opposite side edges of this rib crosses the top (T.sub.1, T.sub.2) of the other rib. • Patent number: 4622113
Abstract: Process or producing caustic alkalis or alkali hydroxides by electrolysis, employing a double electrode-type electrolysis tank in which a cation exchange membrane is provided to divide the inside of the tank into cathode and anode compartments, supplying to the anode compartment an alkali chloride, supplying water or a dilute solution of an alkali hydroxide into the cathode compartment, and taking away the alkali hydroxide and the hydrogen gas produced by electrolysis, in a mixed state of gas and liquid from the cathode compartment. The electrolysis tank comprises a number of finger-anodes extending from one of the walls of the tank and a number of finger-like hollow cathodes extending from the other wall of the tank, into which the finger-anodes project to form a gap therebetween, and a cation exchange membrane extending through the gap to divide the inside of the tank into cathode and anode compartments.

  • Patent number: 4532620
Abstract: A coil assembly comprises a plurality of conductive spiral pattern layers which are piled up via (an) insulating layer(s) on a wafer. The electrical connection between the spiral patterns is established by means of a conductive member, which is a portion of the upper spiral pattern layer, filled in a through-hole which is made in the insulating layer so that the spiral patterns are connected in series to develop a high voltage when the coil assembly is moved in a magnetic field.

  • Patent number: 4410974
Abstract: A capacitance detection type record stylus comprises a body of artificial diamond having flat faces lying parallel to the crystal planes {111} and {100} wherein adjoining identical crystal planes are either {111} or {100}. A crystal plane {110} is formed between any two of the adjoining identical crystal planes by lapping the edge between them. A conductive material is deposited on the crystal plane {110} to form an electrode for detecting signals recorded as geometric variations on a recording medium. Because of the aligned carbon atoms beneath the crystal plane {110}, a substantial amount of the conductive material penetrates deeply into the diamond making the electrode resistant to wear.
