  • Patent number: 7467797
Abstract: The lip-type seal of the present invention includes a seal ring made of an elastic material so as to have an annular fitted part that is fitted to a housing and a lip part that extends from the fitted part inwardly in a radial direction in the shape of a substantially conical ring and that is brought into contact with a shaft, and a support ring including an annular joint part joined to the fitted part and an annular supporting part that defines a hole through which the shaft passes, that extends from a side of the joint part to a halfway area of the lip part, and that supports the lip part from inside in a radial direction. The lip part is tapered in cross section from an area from which non-contact with the supporting part starts toward an end thereof.

  • Patent number: 7156014
Abstract: A compressor has a swash plate and shoes. Surfaces of the swash plate slides on flat surfaces of the shoes. A sliding film is formed on each of the swash plate surfaces. The sliding films are formed of a polyamide-imide resin that contains at least solid lubricant. The polyamide-amide resin has a glass transition temperature of 270° C., a tensile strength at room temperature of 200 MPa, or more imide groups than amide groups. When a base portion of the swash plate is made of an aluminum-based metal, the sliding films are formed on the base portion with middle layers made of anodized aluminum in between.

  • Publication number: 20060208428
Abstract: The lip-type seal of the present invention is a lip-type seal with which the outer periphery of a rotational shaft (S) supported by a predetermined housing (H) is sealed. This lip-type seal includes a seal ring (20) made of an elastic material so as to have an annular fitted part (21) that is fitted to the housing and a lip part (23) that extends from the fitted part inwardly in a radial direction in the shape of a substantially conical ring and that is brought into contact with the shaft, and a support ring (30) including an annular joint part joined to the fitted part and an annular supporting part (33) that defines a hole (30a) through which the shaft passes, that extends from a side of the joint part to a halfway area of the lip part, and that supports the lip part from the inside in the radial direction. In this lip-type seal, the lip part (23) is tapered in cross section from an area from which noncontact with the supporting part (33) starts toward an end thereof.

  • Patent number: 6886834
Abstract: A shaft sealing assembly seals a rotary shaft of a refrigerant compressor with a first sealing member, which is a lip seal. The first sealing member has a hollow portion. As the pressure in the interior space of the compressor housing increases, an outer wall surrounding the hollow portion is elastically deformed. Accordingly, a lip portion of the first sealing member receives a tension that weakens a force pressing the lip portion against the rotary shaft. Therefore, the sealing assembly improves the durability of the lip portion and maintains a satisfactory property of the lip portion to follow displacement of the rotary shaft at the same time.

  • Publication number: 20040259741
Abstract: A coating composition for use in sliding members contains a polyamideimide resin and a solid lubricant and is prepared by mixing these ingredients. The polyamideimide resin is a substance having a glass transition temperature of 270° C. or above or a substance having a tensile strength of 200 MPa or more at room temperature. The sliding film made of the coating composition for use in sliding members is provided with a satisfactory sliding property.

  • Publication number: 20030075041
Abstract: A piston is used in a fluid machine. The fluid machine has a drive shaft and a cam plate operatively connected to the drive shaft. The drive shaft integrally rotates with the cam plate in a housing. The piston has a head portion, a neck portion, a receiving wall and a guide wall. The head portion is accommodated in a cylinder bore in the housing. The neck portion is operatively connected to the cam plate. The receiving wall integrally connects the head portion and the neck portion on the drive shaft side. The receiving wall is formed substantially on a preceding side in a rotating direction of the cam plate. The guide wall integrally connects the head portion and the neck portion on an opposite side of the drive shaft side. The guide wall is formed substantially on a following side in the rotating direction of the cam plate.
