  • Publication number: 20060027432
Abstract: A one-way damper includes a cylindrical housing, a viscous fluid contained within the housing, a rotor rotatably disposed in the housing, and a valve body. The rotor has a center part for forming a rotational center, and a control wall extending radially outwardly from the center part for dividing an inside of the housing. The control wall has a distribution path. The valve body has a holding part for holding the center part, and a free edge part extending from one side of the holding part for opening-and closing the distribution path. A seal member prevents the viscous fluid from leaking between the housing and the rotor.

  • Patent number: 6893376
Abstract: An inner surface 16a of a torque transmitting disc of a toroidal type continuously variable transmission can be finish-worked without also enhancing accuracy of a cylindrical surface as an outer peripheral surface of the disc. The inner surface is finish-worked with super finish while urging a working surface of a grindstone against the inner surface. In this case, roller shoes are rollingly contacted with the inner surface to prevent the disc from being radially displaced under force from the working surface.

  • Patent number: 6773997
Abstract: A high voltage MOSFET device (100) has an nwell region (113) with a p-top layer (108) of opposite conductivity formed to enhance device characteristics. The p-top layer is implanted through a thin gate oxide, and is being diffused into the silicon later in the process using the source/drain anneal process. There is no field oxide grown on the top of the extended drain region, except two islands of field oxide close to the source and drain diffusion regions. This eliminates any possibility of p-top to be consumed by the field oxide, and allows to have a shallow p-top with very controlled and predictable p-top for achieving low on-resistance with maintaining desired breakdown voltage.

  • Publication number: 20040117097
Abstract: A vehicle speed memory unit stores a vehicle speed at a prior predetermined time, the vehicle speed being calculated from an interval of the vehicle speed pulse. A first rapid deceleration detecting section compares an elapsed time from a time the vehicle speed pulse signal is inputted, measured by an elapsed time measuring unit, with a pulse interval corresponding to a predetermined deceleration relative to a vehicle speed stored by the vehicle speed memory unit, or a second rapid deceleration detecting section calculates an undetermined vehicle speed from the elapsed time measured by the elapsed time measuring unit, and calculates a deceleration from the undetermined vehicle speed and the vehicle speed at the prior predetermined time, and compares the calculated deceleration with a predetermined deceleration threshold value. Thus, rapid vehicle deceleration can immediately be determined at the present time without waiting for the determination of the vehicle speed after input of the next pulse signal.

  • Patent number: 6678412
Abstract: An image region of an image data memory is dissected into a plurality of search sections. Brightness change points in each of the search sections are counted based on image data of each search section. A candidate region having a likelihood of involving an information code is detected based on the count value of the brightness change points. And, the candidate region is identified as the existing area of the information code.
