  • Publication number: 20010012444
Abstract: An image processing apparatus for reproducing a recorded digital data stream can detect a time information or emergency news object contained in the recorded digital data stream, and inhibit display of the time information or emergency news which is insignificant in reproducing the recorded image. Alternatively, the image processing apparatus displays the object by an icon or the like. Alternatively, the image processing apparatus generates time information by a character generator on the basis of measured time information, replaces time information included in the recorded digital data by the time information generated by the character generator, and reproduces and displays the replaced time information.

  • Patent number: 5982416
Abstract: An image processor which provides a color space conversion characteristic suitable for an image includes a transfer unit which transfers digital color image data representing a desired image input by an image input unit and having a color space depending on the image input unit, and extraction unit which extracts a color space conversion characteristic used to convert the color space depending on the image input unit into another color space. The transfer unit transfers the digital color image data having the color space depending on the image input unit and the color space conversion characteristic.

  • Patent number: 5559768
Abstract: A tracking following apparatus for an optical disk device includes an objective for forming a light spot on an optical disk, a fine actuator for driving the objective, a coarse actuator for driving the fine actuator means, a detector for sensing a relative positional error between the light spot and a track on the optical disk, an RAM for keeping therein a drive signal associated with a rotation of the optical disk to drive the coarse actuator, an attenuator for reading from the RAM a drive signal associated with a disk rotation angle when the error is sensed by the detector and attenuating the signal, and an adder for adding the signal attenuated by the attenuator to the error signal sensed by the detector and thereby generating a drive signal to drive the coarse actuator.

  • Patent number: 5514061
Abstract: A machine tool for continuously working the surface and the back of a workpiece, comprising a chuck base which is supported so that it is able to approach to or move away from the workpiece, on which a tool spindle for holding a cutting tool and a chuck for holding the workpiece are mounted, and which is able to rotate about the rotation axis perpendicular to the tool-spindle moving direction and a reversing mechanism which is arranged at the front in the direction perpendicular to the spindle moving direction and the chuck-base rotation axis, receives a workpiece, reverses the workpiece, returns the reversed workpiece to the chuck, and changes the portions of the workpiece facing a cutting tool.

  • Patent number: 4838649
Abstract: A slide shaft is provided upright on a support portion, and a lens support is provided on the slide shaft in such a manner that it can rotate around the slide shaft and slide in the axial direction of the slide shaft. Therefore, a hole having a larger diameter than that of the slide shaft is formed at the center of the lens support. An objective lens is provided at one end of the lens support. A drive portion comprises permanent magnets provided on the support portion and coils for rotation and sliding which are provided on the lens support, and the rotation and movement in the sliding direction are performed by passing currents through the coils. The lens support is supported by a support spring which has high rigidity to the translation in the tracking direction and low rigidity to the rotation in a plane intersecting the slide shaft at right angles.

  • Patent number: 3999167
Abstract: Apparatus for generating a character pattern where the character pattern comprises a plurality of dots where certain ones of the dots fall within the character outline and others of the dots fall outside of the character outline, the apparatus comprising first storing means for storing preselected ones of the dots; decoder means responsive to at least some of the stored dots for reconstructing the dots not stored in the first storing means; pattern combining means responsive to the stored dots and the reconstructed dots for generating the character pattern therefrom whereby the memory capacity of the first storing means is lessened by having to store therein only the preselected ones of the dots; second storing means for storing the reconstructed dots; and the decoder means being further responsive to reconstructed dots previously stored in the second storing means for effecting the reconstruction of the dots not stored in the first storing means.
