  • Patent number: 5277268
Abstract: A three-wheel fork-lift truck having one rear steering wheel to be turned by a compact steering assembly of simple construction providing sufficient space for accommodating various kinds of attachments. The steering assembly is composed of a pinion provided with the rear steering wheel, a rack engaged with the pinion, and a hydraulic cylinder as an actuator for moving the rack in the axial direction. By moving the rack in lateral direction either to the right or left, the pinion is rotated to turn the rear steering wheel via a steering shaft.

  • Patent number: 5056983
Abstract: Control levers for controlling load handling devices are pivotally supported by an eccentric shaft portion of an adjusting shaft. The rotation of the adjusting shaft allows the control levers to move along a circular locus together with the eccentric shaft portion, thereby changing the grip positions of the control levers. Also, the grip positions of a plurality of the control lever can be simultaneously changed.

  • Patent number: 5044869
Abstract: A forkhook has a beveled portion formed on the periphery thereof so as to be welded to a fork. Dams are provided at corners of the beveled portion to prevent the liquid weld bead from dropping to the outer peripheral areas. Also, dams are provided between the beveled portion and the groove for receiving a locking pin to prevent the liquid weld bead from dropping into the groove. Thus, the operation for welding the forkhook to the fork is facilitated.

  • Patent number: 4036001
Abstract: A bobbin doffing and donning method in a spinning machine including a conveyor for conveying the empty and full bobbins along the machine, and a succession of bobbin holders for holding and transferring the bobbins between the spindles on the machine and the conveyor. The empty bobbins are removed from the conveyor by grasping the upper end of an empty bobbin by a holder and moving the holder upwardly. The holder is then moved to position the empty bobbin above a corresponding full bobbin on a spindle with the empty bobbin in axial alignment with the full bobbin. The empty bobbin is released from the holder and the lower end abuts against the upper end of the full bobbin. The holder is moved down along the empty bobbin until it reaches the junction between the empty and full bobbins and then grasps both the empty and full bobbins simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 3967440
Abstract: An improved device for cutting a tail-end yarn portion connecting a spiral wind formed on a yarn package and a tail-end winding formed on a base portion of each spindle of a textile machine, at the time of carrying out the doffing operation. A cutting device is mounted on a base portion of each spindle and a bobbin is supported by the spindle at a position right above the cutting device. The cutting device is provided with a ring shaped cutter and a guide member for holding the cutter and a crip member formed right below the guide member. The diameter of the guide member is larger than the diameter of the crip member and the guide member is provided with at least one cut-out groove, preferably a plurality of cut-out grooves, formed at the circumferential portion thereof so that a part of a knife edge of the cutter is projected outside therefrom but positioned within the outer-periphery of the guide member.

  • Patent number: 3938308
Abstract: In a textile machine provided with a doffing and donning apparatus utilizing a conveyer belt for temporarily supporting full size yarn packages doffed from the textile machine and carrying the yarn packages outside the textile machine and for temporarily supporting fresh bobbins supplied from a fresh bobbin supply device mounted on an outend frame of the textile machine, a method and device for transferring fresh bobbins from the bobbin supply device to the respective pegs of the conveyer belt when the conveyer belt is driven before starting the donning operation. When the conveyer belt is driven so as to pick up the fresh bobbins by the respective pegs, each peg is inserted into the bottom bore of the corresponding fresh bobbin in such a way that the head of the peg approaches the bottom bore of the fresh bobbin along a passage inclined to a plane along which the fresh bobbins are supported.
