  • Patent number: 5464816
Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition containing serum thymic factor (FTS) and a method for using FTS containing compositions for treating a variety of immunodeficiencies and autoimmune diseases including multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barre syndrome, inflammatory neuropathy, polyneuritis and other immunodemyelinating diseases.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 26, 1990
Date of Patent: November 7, 1995
    Assignee: Mitsui Pharmaceuticals Inc.
Inventors: Yoshitaka Nagai, Hayao Abe, Masanobu Arita
  • Patent number: 5424271
Abstract: Described are new strains of Drechslera spp., which possess herbicidal effects against all varieties of barnyard grass, i.e., Echinochloa spp. as weed but do not give any influence to crops under cultivation such as rice. Weed control agents according to the present invention, which contain one or more of the novel strains, have high safety and selectivity, thereby providing practical control effects against barnyard grass. Weed control compositions according to the present invention, which contain one or more of the new strains in combination with one or more chemical herbicides, have sufficient herbicidal effects even at dosages which are too low to permit control of weeds when they are applied singly, thereby making it possible to reduce the dosage of herbicides. The weed control compositions can therefore contribute to the prevention of environmental pollution and the occurrence of weeds with acquired pesticide resistance.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 8, 1994
Date of Patent: June 13, 1995
    Assignee: Mitsui Toatsu Chemicals, Inc.
Inventors: Kenichi Yamaguchi, Masanobu Arita, Masatoshi Gohbara, Tatsuo Shinmi, Keiko Fukui, Emi Tohyama

  • Patent number: 4822822
Abstract: Benzylamine derivatives having the general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is an iso-propyl or tert-butyl group, R.sub.2 is a group of the formula: ##STR2## and R.sub.3 is a lower alkyl or lower alkenyl group, or its acid addition salt. These derivatives are useful for the treatment of animal epidemics or infectious diseases induced by fungi as an antimycotic agent for humans and animals, for the control of plant diseases as an agricultural fungicide, and for the control of fungi and bacteria in industrial materials or products as an industrial fungicide.

  • Patent number: 4652490
Abstract: A heat shrinkable and heat sealable laminated packaging material comprising a heat shrinkable film which is endowed with a heat shrinkability by biaxial stretching in advance of lamination, such as biaxially stretched polyamide film or biaxially stretched polypropylene film, and a heat shrinkable polyolefin sealant film which is endowed with a heat shrinkability by stretching in advance of lamination, such as biaxially stretched linear low density polyethylene film, the sealant film being laminated on one or both surfaces of the heat shrinkable film. The laminated packaging material imparts a tight appearance to a finish package in heat shrink packaging due to its excellent heat shrinkability.
