  • Publication number: 20100162550
Abstract: A screw attachment (10, 10?, 10?) disposed around a fastening piece (17) secured to a main fastening body (25a), the screw attachment sandwiched between a head (17b) of the fastening piece and a securing object (22) so that the screw attachment bears a securing force of the fastening piece to press the securing object. The screw attachment includes a pair of arms (12, 13) made of a shape restoring material. Each arm has a fore end, and the fore ends are joined to each other with an adhesive material that is softened when heated. The arms expands radially such that the screw attachment is released from the head of the fastening piece when heat or force is applied to the arms.

  • Patent number: 6032494
Abstract: A drum type drying/washing machine performs drying without the flow of cooling water during a predetermined period of time or a period of time determined in accordance with an amount of clothes. After the passage of the period of time, the machine starts the flow of the cooling water so as to perform drying with cooling-dehumidication. The drum type drying/washing machine, at the initial stage of the drying operation, also performs not only the heating of clothing, but also the rotating of a drum at a high speed to dehydrate the clothing. A drum type drying/washing machine rotates a drum at an almost a maximum rotational rate at which, in a low speed rotation, materials to be processed can roll over in the drum; or at a rotational rate above which, in the low speed rotation, the materials to be processed as a whole stick to the inner peripheral wall of the drum. Further, the drum is accelerated to a high speed rotation only when an output from an unbalance detecting device is a predetermined level or less.

  • Patent number: 5768730
Abstract: A drum type washing machine includes a plurality of injection nozzles for linearly injecting a washing liquid toward laundry in a drum which is rotatable about a horizontal shaft. The drum type washing machine includes decision unit for deciding an amplitude of vibration which is detected based on vibration detected at a predetermined low rotation speed and a controller for controlling a drive unit that applies a driving force of forward/reverse rotation to a drum to correct localization of laundry in the drum. A drum type dryer includes a refrigerating cycle provided to an air-circulating line between a discharge port and a hot air supply port of a drum, and performs air-conditioning of outer air. A drum type washing machine includes a controller for controlling a drive unit to rotate a drum once or the plural number of times at a high speed to dehydrate laundry heated by hot air in an initial period of drying.

  • Patent number: 4839486
Abstract: A damper mechanism of a microwave oven using shape memory alloy spring elements for opening and/or closing the damper which, in turn, control the flow of air through an inlet port into the chamber. The damper mechanism is designed for extending the service lives of the shape memory alloy spring elements as well as an energy saving substitute for the power otherwise needed for driving the damper unit.
