  • Patent number: 6933998
Abstract: A display device includes an array of control elements formed on a semiconductor substrate, and an array of reflective-type pixel electrodes stacked over the array of the control elements, so that each of the control elements control a state of reflection of a corresponding one of the pixel electrodes. The array of the pixel electrodes is arranged in rows and columns. In embodiments, the array of the control elements is arranged in a first direction that makes an angle greater than zero and smaller than 90° with the direction of rows, and in a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction. The display device has an array of control elements corresponding to the array of pixel electrodes even when the control elements do not match the pixel electrodes in shape. This invention also provides methods of making the display devices.

  • Patent number: 6266110
Abstract: An uppermost metal wiring layer is formed of titan Ti and titan nitride TiN formed thereon, on which tungsten W for filling a via hole can be deposited. The via hole is filled with W. The surface of a metal wiring layer below the uppermost metal wiring layer is covered with a low reflectivity film made of titan nitride. Thus, light incident on the surface of the semiconductor chip is prevented from reaching a substrate transistor within a semiconductor device and malfunctioning of the semiconductor device is prevented.

  • Patent number: 6048924
Abstract: The subject of the present invention is to provide a water-borne resin composition having excellent hydrophilicity, that is, water reducibility or water dispersibility, can decrease the amount of organic solvent contained in a coating, has excellent curability, water resistance, flexibility, heat resistance, hardeness which are equivalent to those of solvent-borne amino resin, and which can decrease discharges in a dryer, and a water-borne coating comprised thereof. The above problem can be solved by a water-borne resin composition comprising:amino resin (A) obtained from amino compound (a) comprising at least one carboxyl group in a phenyl group of benzoguanamine, the amino compound (a) represented by chemical formula 1 andwater-borne resin (B) having a functional group reactive with the amino resin (A), and water-borne coating comprising the water-borne resin composition as an essential component.

  • Patent number: 6049132
Abstract: In a semiconductor chip for Si chip based liquid crystal having insulating films and interconnection layers formed on a semiconductor substrate, a thin interconnection layer made of TiN/Ti having strong erosion resistance is formed on an uppermost interlayer insulating film having a flat surface to substantially expose the thin uppermost interconnection layer to the surface of the chip, the uppermost insulating film is covered with a protection film made of p-SiN and a thin insulating film having a mirror-like flat surface is formed on the uppermost interconnection layer.
