  • Patent number: 5212863
Abstract: A method for forming element-free space sections in a slide fastener chain is provided that coupling elements can be efficiently removed by a small force without damaging fastener tapes. The method for forming element-free space sections in the slide fastener chain comprises the steps of:cutting heads of interengaged discrete coupling elements of space-forming sections of one leg of forked legs of the individual coupling element, pushing up the heads of the coupling elements in the direction orthogonal to the fastener tape faces from the cutting side, andgripping the remaining cut legs by grippers to be drawn-out and removed in the direction orthogonal to the fastener tape faces.

  • Patent number: 5046249
Abstract: An improved hand-held motor-driven oscillating razor for wet shaving provides a substantially vibration-free gripping during the shaving. The razor comprises a grip housing adapted to be gripped by the hand of a user and a shaver head movably supported on top of the grip housing. The shaver head carries a razor blade element and includes a weight which is driven by a motor to impart oscillatory movement to the shaver head. The motor is mounted within the shaver head together with the weight so as to confine an oscillatory system within the shaver head. A damper member is utilized to singly support the shaver head to the grip housing in order to made the shaver head movable with respect to the grip housing such that the grip housing can be isolated substantially from the oscillatory system in the shaver head, permitting the shaver head to oscillate substantially indpendently of the grip housing, thereby minimizing a counter-vibration transmitted back to the grip housing from the shaver head.

  • Patent number: 4975332
Abstract: A recording medium for electrothermal transfer printing comprising a base film, an adhesiveness improving layer provided on one surface of the base film, an electrically resistive layer provided on the adhesiveness improving layer, and a heat-sensitive transfer ink layer provided on the other surface of the base film, said electrically resistive layer comprising a binder comprising a polyvinyl butyral resin as a main component, an electrically conductive powder and an inorganic metallic compound type flame retardant. The content of an electrically conductive powder such as a conductive carbon in the resistive layer can be increased to reduce the electric resistance of the resistive layer and problems such as peeling of the resistive layer can be prevented, and a satisfactory flame resistance can be obtained without increasing the resistivity of the resistive layer. Thus, the electrothermal transfer printing can be conducted satisfactorily without any dangerousness.

  • Patent number: 4972572
Abstract: An IC sheet cutting press performs a series of press cutting operations to separate ICs from an IC sheet while feeding the IC sheet stepwise. In the IC sheet cutting press, a series of press molds and an IC feed mechanism are mounted on a common die set to constitute a single press mold unit. When a different type of IC sheet is to be machined, the entire press mold unit can be exchanged with another one, so that various adjustments, e.g., adjustment of arrangement intervals of the press molds or a feed interval of the IC sheet can be omitted, and the operating efficiency of the cutting press and hence the compatibility are improved. An IC sheet processing apparatus, in which the IC sheet cutting press described aboved is combined with an automatic IC sheet loading unit, an IC lead bending press, and an IC storage unit for storing ICs after the lead bending operation, allows automatic IC sheet processing including the cutting operation of ICs from the IC sheet over a long period to time.

  • Patent number: 4927090
Abstract: An automatic unloading or discharging of a spool from the winding portion of a reeling machine to a carrier car is disclosed, wherein the spool held on the winding portion is first removed from the winding head as horizontal belt conveyors are vertically moved to an elevated position, then horizontally fed by the belt conveyors onto support arms disposed above the carrier car, thereafter lowered by the support arms toward the carrier car, and finally placed onto the carrier car as the support arms are relatively moved away from one another.

  • Patent number: 4675997
Abstract: A self-contained electric shaver capable of being used with water and powered from either a main or a reserve rechargeable battery comprises a housing having thereon a shaving head and accommodating therein the main and reserve rechargeable batteries. The housing also accommodates a motor drivingly connected to the shaving head for effecting a hair shearing operation. Terminal pins adapted to be connected to an external battery charger for feeding an electric charging current to the batteries extend in a sealed manner through respective apertures formed in the lower end wall of the housing. At least one drain pipe extends in a sealed manner through a vent hole also formed in the lower end wall for passing out of the housing the gas discharged from the batteries upon charging thereof.

  • Patent number: 4380869
Abstract: An electric shaver of a reciprocating drive type having a trimmer blade comprises a housing and an outer blade frame detachably mounted onto the upper portion of the housing. A trimmer blade assembly is mounted to the housing so as to be protrusile outward of the housing. A switch plate is provided on the housing so that three stop positions may be selectively assumed, in which the third position is allotted to enable the trimmer blade assembly to be protruded in cooperation with a trimmer lever, while a driving force is afforded to both the main blade and the trimmer blade assembly. A cleaning operation portion is further provided on the housing so that the same may be operated independently of the switch plate. The cleaning operation portion acts on the trimmer lever to enable the trimmer blade assembly to be protruded outward, with the same in an intact state of not being driven by a motor.
