  • Patent number: 5232280
Abstract: A twin conical screw extruder which includes a twin conical container having a material inlet port, a material extruding port on the opposite side of the material inlet port, and an inner conical wall surface converging toward the material extruding port, a pair of conical screw rotors accommodated in the twin conical container, each of the conical screw rotors having a free end adjacent to the material extruding port and a base portion rotatably supported such that the screws of the two rotors intermeshingly rotated in two different directions and a pressurizing device provided in each free end of the screw rotors so as to forcibly keep the free ends of the screw rotors in contact with each other at a predetermined contact pressure so as to overcome a pressure arising from the extruding operation.

  • Patent number: 4867667
Abstract: A system for producing a screw feeder for use in a plastic injection-molding machine, according to which system a molten material is extruded through an injection opening of a rotating die, the injection opening of the die including a groove obliquely with respect to the axis thereof, thereby forming a screw feeder having a shank and a spiral integral lengthwise therewith.

  • Patent number: 4824448
Abstract: A device for expelling the gas liberated within a viscous-material treating apparatus such as a kneader, an extruder or the like. The device basically consists of a cone-shaped rotor and a cone-shaped cover member covering the rotor. The cone-shaped rotor is provided with volute protrusions on its coned surface, while the cone-shaped cover member is provided with a gas exhaust orifice to which a vacuum system is to be connected. With the cone-shaped rotor kept rotating, the volute protrusions act so as to prevent the viscous material from being swallowed up together with the liberated gas to be pumped out.

  • Patent number: 4764020
Abstract: A viscous liquids feeder for an extruding machine including a first container having a pair of cone-shaped rotors and a second container having a screw, the first container being jointed to the second container at a given angle so that the mass of viscous materials in the first container can be extruded into the second container in which the material is fed by the screw toward the mold provided at the head of the second container.

  • Patent number: 4702257
Abstract: An operator console for use in an imaging diagnostic apparatus, comprising means for displaying a full length figure of a human body; means for displaying respective figures representing the axial plane, sagittal plane, and coronal plane of the body figure; means for displaying respective figures representing pitching, yawing, and rolling of these planes; plane designating means which are manipulated by an operator; and tilt direction designating means which are manipulated by an operator, whereby the plane and the tilt direction designated by the operator are displayed by means of the figures in connection with the body figure.

  • Patent number: 4474475
Abstract: A mixing apparatus for blending one or more relatively viscous liquids into a homogeneous mixture, the apparatus including a fixed vessel, a pair of rotors rotatively housed in the vessel, each rotor rotating on its own rotary shaft, the rotary shafts being rotated in opposing directions, the rotors having helical mixing vanes thereon wound oppositely in directions and differently in number, wherein the outside diameters D.sub.1, D.sub.2 of the rotors, the distance A between the rotary shafts, the rotating angular velocities of the rotors, and the number of the helical vanes are defined by the numerical criterion: A is smaller than 1/2(D.sub.1 +D.sub.2), and the ratio between velocities of the rotors is equal to the inverse number of the ratio between the numbers of the helical mixing vanes.

  • Patent number: 4412747
Abstract: A sealing device adapted for use in mixing equipment includes a cylindrical packing mantling an end portion of the rotating shaft of the mixing blade with a clearance interposed therebetween, the mixing blade including a shoulder from which the rotating shaft thrusts into a side wall of the bowl, the shoulder having a ring-shaped gasket filled in its surface, the cylindrical packing being extended sufficiently to emerge from the side wall of the bowl, and means for pressing the cylindrical packing against the side wall of the bowl so as to enable the cylindrical packing to come into constant abutment with the ring-shaped gasket, thereby allowing no gap to occur therebetween.
