  • Patent number: 4781542
Abstract: A horizontal type compressor-motor combination for compressing a gaseous refrigerant is hermetically sealed within a case which contains in its bottom accumulated lubricating oil and is internally divided into compressor and motor chambers respectively housing a compressor device and a motor for driving the compressor device through a common rotor shaft coupling the rotor of the motor and an eccentric rotor of the compressor device and being rotatably supported by inner and outer bearings, the compressor device having a cylinder block interposed between the inner and outer bearings. A compressor-motor of this basic organization is improved by a communication passage formed axial through the rotor shaft for conducting the refrigerant, one end of this passage being connected to the motor chamber, the other end being connected to a delivery chamber of the compressor chamber.

  • Patent number: 4743177
Abstract: An enclosed type compressor comprises an electric motor and a compressor pump directly coupled with the electric motor, both enclosed in a casing. A centeradjusting plate having a through hole at the center is provided between the electric motor and the compressor pump. The center-adjusting plate is disposed perpendicular to the central axis of the internal surface of the stator of the electric motor. The rotor of the electric motor is coupled with the compressor pump and the combination thus obtained is secured to the center-adjusting plate in a manner such that the central axes of the rotor and the internal surface of the stator are aligned with each other. A method for assembling the enclosed type compressor is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4702088
Abstract: A compressor for a reversible refrigeration cycle is connected to indoor and outdoor heat exchangers through first and second refrigerant pipes. The compressor includes a closed casing defining an accumulation chamber therein. A compression section having a compression chamber is disposed in the casing so that a refrigerant is compressed in the compression chamber and then discharged into the accumulation chamber. A valve mechanism is disposed in the compression section and has a slider. The slider is arranged to be movable between a first position where the first and second refrigerant pipes are connected to the compression chamber and the accumulation chamber, respectively, and a second position where the first and second refrigerant pipes are connected to the accumulation chamber and the compression chamber, respectively. The slider is shifted to the first or second position by the pressure of the refrigerant.

  • Patent number: 4522038
Abstract: A refrigerating cycle apparatus has a compressor, a condenser, an evaporator, and a capillary tube. The condenser includes a compressor main body for compressing a refrigerant delivered therein, a valve hole, a groove for connecting the valve hole and a suction port of the compressor main body, a pipe for connecting the valve hole and a delivery port of the compressor main body, an aperture for connecting the valve hole and a suction port of the condenser, and a valve plug movably mounted in the valve hole. The valve plug is adapted to move between a first position where the pipe communicates with the aperture through the valve hole in accordance with a difference in pressure at the suction port and delivery port of the compressor when the compressor is in operation and a second position where the pipe does not communicate with the aperture through the valve hole when said compressor is stopped.

  • Patent number: 4508495
Abstract: A rotary shaft for compressor includes a cylindrical shaft body and a cylindrical eccentric member. The shaft body is rotatably arranged in an outer box of the compressor and is connected to an electric motor at one end portion thereof. The eccentric member has a through hole extending along the axis thereof and formed eccentric thereto, and also has a groove extending from the upper end face to the lower end face thereof to form a passage for lubrication oil. The groove is provided with a bottom face adjacent to the shaft body. The shaft body is inserted into the through hole. The eccentric member is secured to the other end portion of the shaft body by laser-welding the bottom of the groove to the shaft body. An annular eccentric roller is rotatably fitted onto the eccentric member.

  • Patent number: 4326868
Abstract: The present invention provides a refrigeration or heating system which includes a high pressure gaseous refrigerant bypass which introduces high pressure gaseous refrigerant to the compressor through a hole therein. This reintroduction of high pressure gaseous refrigerant increases the work capacity of the compressor, which is particularly valuable in the heating mode where the ambient temperature is low, and also hastens the pressure rising characteristics of the compressor. A low pressure gaseous refrigerant bypass to the compressor may also be provided for permitting a portion of the compressed refrigerant in the compressor to be discharged, thereby reducing the danger of overheating of the compressor. A further feature of the invention is the introduction of low enthalpy refrigerant into the compressor which will also cool an overheated compressor. Appropriate control means are provided for controlling the flow of refrigerant through the bypasses.
