  • Patent number: 6763794
Abstract: A through-bore is provided in an outer wall of a passage defining structure defining a liquid passage faced by at least a portion of a vibration generating section, and opens at its inner end into the liquid passage. A vibration absorbing device includes an occluding member mounted to the outer wall to occlude the through-bore, an elastic membrane with its one end facing the liquid passage and other end facing a space defined between the elastic membrane and the occluding member, and a retaining member mounted to the occluding member for retaining the elastic membrane between the retaining member and the occluding member. Thus, a variation in pressure of a liquid in the liquid passage which is induced by the vibration generated in the vibration generating section is absorbed by flexing of the elastic membrane, whereby an exciting force applied from the liquid to the passage defining structure is effectively reduced, and a vibration sound radiated from the passage defining structure is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6582586
Abstract: Suppression and removal of scales are efficiently carried out in a steel material hot rolling process and the time of pickling treatment as a successive step is greatly shortened. In a water cooling step of metallic material 11 at a temperature of 100° to 1,200° C., scales are removed by applying a direct current or an alternating current to metallic material 11 at 0.1 to 105 A/m2 of unit surface area from pinch rolls 2 to rolls 6 or apron guides 7 on the outlet side of a hot rolling mill 1 and/or by injecting cooling water at a pH value of −2 to 4 onto the metallic material 11 from cooling headers 4 and apron guides 7.

  • Patent number: 4371745
Abstract: A shielded wire in which an insulation layer covered wire and a ground wire are both covered with a conductive material layer. The ground wire is covered, furthermore, with a conductive high molecular material layer. The latter and the conductive material layer are in mutual contact so that they are mechanically separable from each other and are, at the same time, electrically connected to each other. The conductive high molecular material layer may be made of conductive synthetic resin such as conductive polyvinyl chloride and the like, or of conductive rubber. • Patent number: 4290333
Abstract: An expression means has been developed which can accentuate only a selected musical sound, e.g., melody, out of melody, accompaniment chord and bass sound generated in an electronic musical instrument and does not accentuate other sounds. The expression means of the present invention produces a first electric potential that will vary in response to an operation of an expression pedal and a second potential that will vary in response to a slow operation of the expression pedal though irresponsive to a quick operation of it. For gain control of amplifiers that deal with musical sounds required to be accentuated, said first potential is prepared, and for gain control of other amplifiers that deal with musical sounds free from accentuation, said second potential is prepared. Furthermore, the expression means of this invention employs changeover switches to realize arbitrary choice of the sounds to be accentuated.

  • Patent number: 4271742
Abstract: An electronic sound generator is developed for generating a sound similar to that of ANGKLONG (Indonesian terms), which comprises a circuit for generating a series of consequtive rectangular waves. A plurality of envelope wave generation circuits each produce an envelope wave having the same repeating cycle as that of each said rectangular wave and, one or more sound source circuits are used for generating signals substantially equal to the output waves of angklong, circuits in each of which an output of a sound source circuit is modulated by the relevant envelop wave. A loudspeaker sounds the modulated signal as a musical sound. In a record embodiment the sound generator further comprises a first gate to which the modulated signal is directly applied, a second gate is connected in series with the volume and/or tone control circuit, means for opening said first and second gates alternatively and a means for combining the outputs of said first and second gates to provide a musical sound from the loudspeaker.

  • Patent number: 4162644
Abstract: An automatic accompaniment apparatus in an electronic organ having a keyboard for melody provided with a plurality of key switches for accompaniment, respective ends of the key switches being connected to a voltage generating circuit and respective opposite ends of the key switches being connected to a chord gate circuit through memory circuits. A key selection circuit for selecting a key of music is provided so that a rhythm accompaniment tone corresponding to a melody is obtained as an output signal from the chord gate circuit. A rhythm pulse is generated from a rhythm pulse generator. Connected between the key switches and the voltage generating circuit is a switch element and a keying pulse generator connected to the switch element.

  • Patent number: 3986424
Abstract: An automatic rhythm accompaniment apparatus for an electronic musical instrument is characterized in that the same comprises a plurality of chord-memory circuits which detect and memorize respective first tones in respective bars of a melody played by the operation of keys, and a chord gate circuit which is driven by output signals of these chord memory circuits and rhythm pulses generated by a rhythm pulse generator so that, by opening and closing of the chord gate circuit, there is obtained rhythm-accompaniment tones caused by the first tones in the respective bars. A key selection circuit is provided at the front stage of the chord gate circuit so that rhythm accompaniment tones according to a key of the melody played may be obtained. A chord change-over circuit can be provided preceding the chord gate circuit so that a key of the melody can be selected. Rhythm-accompaniment tones of different chords appearing in the middle of the melody may be obtained.
