  • Patent number: 4858899
Abstract: A bushing type vibration insulator, for example, used as a suspension bushing of an automotive vehicle. The vibration insulator consists of an outer cylindrical member connected to one member of the suspension. The outer cylindrical member is connected through an elastomeric member with an inner cylindrical member which is connected to another member of the suspension. The inner and outer cylindrical members share a common central longitudinal axis. Two fluid chambers are formed between the outer cylindrical member and the elastomeric member and filled with a fluid. The fluid chambers are communicable through a communication passage formed through an actuator fixedly secured directly to the outer cylindrical member. The actuator is constructed and arranged to block fluid flow through the communication passage under a predetermined condition, thereby raising the spring constant of the vibration insulator.

  • Patent number: 4664408
Abstract: A pair of upstanding connecting rods connected to the free ends of a U-shaped stabilizer bar are axially movably supported on respective vehicle body brackets or suspension members. A locking mechanism is provided to prevent axial movement of the connecting rods relative to the vehicle body brackets or suspension members when to make the stabilizer bar effective. A selection mechanism is mechanically connected to the locking mechanism to actuate the same to selectively prevent and allow the above mentioned axial movement of the connecting rods.

  • Patent number: 4560027
Abstract: A power unit supporting structure for supporting a power unit on the body of a vehicle through the intermediary of a plurality of elastic support means. The structure comprises at least two first elastic support members for supporting a differential-gear-side portion of the power unit on the vehicle body at two points, and at least one second elastic support member for supporting the portion of the power unit longitudinally opposite the differential gear.
