    Abstract: A supermarket goods display rack and display carts therefor with each cart having a cart body with upper and lower faces, defining four corners and having casters fitted to each corner and to the central portion of the lower face. Each cart body also having an upper edge potion including a jointing member which defines a jointing hook and a lower edge portion including a jointing member which defines a jointing hole, so that the jointing members connect when the carts are laterally joined. A passage (a.sub.1) is formed within a base portion of a goods display rack (a). A goods display cart (1) is placed into the passage, the cart displaying thereon a plurality of goods (j.sub.2) in a direction from a front side toward a rear side of the base portion. When the goods on the front side of the base portion on the cart are sold out, the cart is drawn out of the passage of the base portion, the cart having remaining goods thereon.

    Abstract: A refrigerated showcase in which refrigerated air for refrigerating the interior of the showcase and preventing ambient air from invading in the showcase is circulated across a front opening of the showcase and through a bottom wall, a rear wall and a top wall of the showcase, is improved according to the present invention. The improvements reside in that a gas-permeable spacer is disposed at the end of shelves within the showcase and spaced from the front surface of the rear wall to form a refrigerated air introducing duct space between the spacer and the rear wall.

This arrangement enables the simplification of manufacturing process, the reduction of cost and the effective designing.

    Abstract: A service cart assembly including a cart having a lower base equipped with a plurality of rollers or wheels thereunder and a plurality of posts erected standing upright from the lower base with a top plate installed thereupon, and a stepladder built in the cart having a rear leg element fixed rigidly to the rear end portion of a top plate of said stepladder and having a front leg element connected pivotally to the front end portion thereof. The step ladder further includes a connecting arm assembly connected pivotally at the rear end thereof to the lower base of the cart and at the front end thereof to the rear leg element of the stepladder, and a latch mechanism for engagement with the top step of the stepladder mounted on the front pair of the posts standing upright from the cart.

    Abstract: Four metal support pipes with casters mounted on the lower ends thereof are arranged at the four corners of a quadrilateral. Pipe cover portions provided at four corners of a plurality of synthetic resin rack boards are threaded over the corresponding support pipes. Synthetic resin spacer pipes are threaded over the support pipes between the pipe cover portions of vertically-adjacent rack boards. Tubular cushion materials which can freely expand and contract are threaded over the support pipes between the pipe cover portions of the uppermost rack board and the uppermost spacer pipes, and fastening members are fitted into the upper ends of the support pipes to fasten the uppermost rack board.

    Abstract: A refrigerated show case has a cold air flow circulated along its bottom wall, rear wall and top wall and across its front opening between an ejection port and a suction port disposed along the upper and lower edges, respectively, of the front opening to refrigerate the interior of the show case. There are provided a by-pass port in the top wall for by-passing a part of the cold air flow, a heat-exchanger disposed on the top wall and communicated with the by-pass port, and an ejection port of a moderated air flow communicated with the heat-exchanger and disposed outside of and in parallel to the ejection port of the cold air flow, the moderated air flow being formed from the by-passed cold air flow by heat-exchange with a hot ambient air above the refrigerated show case through the heat-exchanger.

    Abstract: An improved defroster arrangement for a known refrigerating showcase which is provided with an inside duct for circulating a refrigerated air flow to refrigerate the interior of the showcase and an outside duct for circulating a low temperature air flow to prevent a temperature rise of the refrigerated air flow. The improvements exist in the provision of a communication passage between the inside and outside ducts, and a gate for opening and closing the communication passage. During defrosting, the gate is actuated to communicate the inside and outside ducts with each other through the communication passage and also to block the path through the outside duct between the communication passage and an intake port. In this manner only the air circulating through the inside duct upstream of the gate and through both the inside and outside ducts downstream of the gate is driven by means of fans disposed within the inside and outside ducts, respectively.

    Abstract: A goods showcase capable of arbitrarily varying depths of respective shelves is herein described. The shelf has struts with a plurality of engaging holes provided on their sides as aligned in columns, and shelf support members which each have a horizontal shelf plate support flange extending from a lower edge of a laterally long L-shaped vertical side plate provided with engaging pieces to be engaged in the engaging holes in the shelf strut and also have a plurality of engaging vertical claws erected from a free edge of the horizontal flange at a predetermined interval. The shelf plates each have a reinforcement crosspiece disposed in the widthwise direction on its back surface, and this crosspiece is provided with an engaging section to which is engage and disengage the engaging claws.

An inclined surface is formed on each shelf or base and a movable goods display member that is movable rearward and forward on each shelf is placed on each inclined shelf surface. In one preferred embodiment, the surface of the shelf or the base itself forms the inclined surface. In a modified embodiment, an auxiliary member having an inclined top surface inclined is mounted on the shelf or the base of the showcase and the movable goods display member is placed on the inclined top surface of the auxiliary member.

    Abstract: An improved refrigerating show case is disclosed herein, in which a cold air flow is circulated along its bottom wall, rear wall and top wall and across its front opening to refrigerate the interior of said show case, and another cool air flow is circulated outside of and along the circulating route of said cold air flow to prevent said cold air flow from being warmed up. The improvements exist in that a part of said another cool air flow is diverted upwardly from the top wall portion along its circulating route, whereby the tendency that the room temperature above said refrigerating show case is excessively raised and that on the floor just before said refrigerating show case is excessively lowered, can be eliminated.

    Abstract: A multi-shelf type of showcase comprises a number of shelf plate supported substantially in a horizontal position at different levels. A shelf plate at each shelf level consists of a rear shelf section carried by shelf supports on the left and right sides of the showcase, and a movable front shelf section fitted in said rear shelf section slidably in the forth and back directions. The movable front shelf section can be drawn out forwardly of said rear shelf section upon using the same, while it can be inserted and accommodated within said rear shelf section when it is not in use. According to one aspect of the present invention, the respective rear shelf sections are fixedly secured to a framework of the showcase. However, according to another aspect of the invention, each of said rear shelf sections is pivotably mounted on a framework of the showcase so as to be rotatable upwardly about an axis at the rear end portion thereof.
